I found this video, not sure if it's been posted yet:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHJY3yvPuUg

The video features a few hints at the story such as:

A Havik? mention
3:50 Scorpion: '' Why seek out my clan?
Raiden: ''A dire threat emerges from the CHAOS realm''

Scorpion:'' Only a fool would think so''

It's also mentioned that Scorpion now protects Earthrealm, vigilante style.
Also confirmation of Cassie and Johnny being alive and well. And one last thing, is it me or is Sub-Zero extra sassy in this MK, he is nothing like the grandmaster/ mentor Sub-Zero we saw in MKX.

Your thoughts?

I would love some Chaos Realm shenanigans. Hopefully Havik appears or maybe a new character, but I won’t get my hopes up.

Very interesting indeed!

I wouldn't get invested in Havik though. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see him in MK11 but it could be a new character. Not sure who else comes from Chaosrealm in the MK universe.

In other news, there is an intro where Geras says to Sonya that her spawn is trying to defy destiny or something like that. Not surprising but I think we can safely say Cassie will be in and be playing a decently major role in the story.

So somebody had a question about this weeks KombatKast - Does the inclusion of order crystals and chaos energy mean we can finally see Havik. So with Raiden mentioning a threat from chaosrealm and these crystals and energy do you think Havik will make the cut this time around?

I have a hunch that they're laying the groundwork to make Chaosrealm a main threat in the next game. And if they did, I'd be cool with that.

Imagine the power of Chaos bleeding into the realms. That could really shake things up.

Is it possible The Kollector may be from Chaosrealm?

Havik is also mentioned in Baraka's weapon menu. I hope Havik is DLC with a shot at making main roster in MK12.

I wished they developed characters like Havik and Hotaru more, instead of bringing in soo much new characters. They could use more lore.

Where do you go after Kronika?

I agree. I loved Havik and I thought Hotaru was badass (his fatality from Deception was probably one of the best ones in the game).

What about The One Being? Unless its a revelation that Kronika is The One Being.

To me, the Chaos realm thing seems to be a reference to the MKX comic. Scorpion was the one to kill Havik in that. I know that doesn't rule him out of future games, and I would definitely welcome us exploring a realm other than the main three over and over. But I think people are reading into it a bit much. Heck, it could just be Raiden trying to manipulate people into thinking there are threats to justify invading another realm. Scorpion sees through the BS and calls him out on it.

As for the vigilante thing: Sonya says "No vigilante justice, Scorpion!"... which I see as a reference to their disagreement over Quan Chi in MKX.
It's not far-fetched to suggest the Shirai-ryu and Lin Kuei are set to protect Earthrealm... but Sonya can't exactly be critical of that - especially when she's the one suggesting and leading a pre-emptive strike on the Netherealm.

My own hunch about Chaos becoming important in the future arises from the growing pattern of references that have been building up. And even if they're seriously folding in the comic version of the continuity -- inconsistent as it is with the game -- Havik still isn't dead. He is a talking head, like Shinnok but somehow even more powerful since he can actually speak without lungs and vocal chords (that's Chaos, yo!). And no one should ever, ever underestimate a talking head. It feels like an excuse to have a use for him as a big villain without killing him off entirely so he can be saved for later... a luxury that many other villains didn't get in the comic.

Of course, even if they are laying groundwork for him that doesn't mean they'll necessarily go through with it. Judging by interviews, lots of story ideas get pitched around before they settle on one. It doesn't appear at this point that Jade's Dreamrealm angle carried through (except perhaps in spirit, via Kronika) despite much more consistent hints, so they could just as easily drop anything they had in mind for Havik, too.

Sonya is at least doing what she's doing in an official capacity, and working directly with Raiden. Scorpion barged in unannounced and ruined literally everything they were working for just to carry out justice his way, consequences be damned. Considering his vigilantism directly cost her the souls of her friends and wound up endangering her family and homeworld, I'd say she's in the best position to criticize.

Unfortunately, Havik's talking head got crushed by Quan Chi's foot.

Chaos keeps things going/interesting. Life goes on, surprises come up, shit happens.

The end of all things, and a desolate eternal void? A little too orderly for my taste...

I must say though, all the intro dialogues I've heard so far are quite intriguing, and funny. Random lil bits of lore.

I hope you're right in that Chaos realm is planned and will happpen in the future. I wanna see that.

The OP said: "It's also mentioned that Scorpion now protects Earthrealm, vigilante style." and my comment was a direct response to that. I was saying it feels like her comment is more directly related to his actions in MKX - where he killed Quan Chi. I don't think she would be critisizing him for protecting Earthrealm beyond that point - especially considering the extremes she's going to herself.

Chaos being created by the this simulation of sorts or timeline jumps. Kronika and geras look like robots not gods and that's a huge red flag for me. They were brought it to restore order or create chaos and since when have we been able to go back in time to have 2 of the same fighter at the SAME TIME? And if we could do that, then the story would endlessly reboot. There is something fishy here.... the amulet is one of the answers. I am very hopeful the story will play like gold and we can see a havik cameo towards the end and being a major part in the story and kombat pack 1. This roster is shaping up to.be one of the most unique rosters made. Shinnok shao khan, frost and Skarlett alone with a new boss and with returning mkx characters is just ????. I'm hyped because mk9 retold the trilogy, mkX retold mk4 and this game is a retelling of the rest (nit a reboot of mk1-3 again like everybody keeps saying). There can only be new story from mk12 and out possibly using taven and daegon again though

I am also interested in what Noob-Saibot and Sub-Zero intro refers to. When Noob says that he is disappointed in Sub-Zero it gives me the idea that he approached sub-zero in order to make sub-zero join him. Ofcource Sub-Zero would decline hence the disappointment. I also think that Noob-Saibot is going to rebuild the Tekunin, that's why the cyborg factory is shown in his reveal trailer. That also explains why Sub-Zero and Scorpion are working together, seen fighting cyborgs. I don't remember it well but I think Noob-Saibot did make a cyborg army in Armageddon with the technology he used from Smoke.

I would love to see a Noob-Saibot and Havik cooperation as shown in Mk9 Noob-Saibot ending.

I want to see more of Noob-Saibot then just being a minion of so and so.

I'm with you on a Noob-Saibot and Havik cooperation from the MK9 ending

Really love what they did with Noob Saibot -with all the leaks and speculations of the roster nobody really mentions Havik and if they do it is with a slim chance. So I think at best he is DLC which i hope he is -i really would love to see him in this game
