As much as I like him, I don't think he has really earned a spin off just yet. He has only been in one game and barely had much of a roll. Kan you imagine the uproar if he got a spin off when people have litterally been waiting 2 decades for Scorpion's? Or another Shaolin Monks?

Erron Black was a big disappointment as far as I'm concerned. I totally get what they were going for and it's obviously a popular archetype, but in practice he's a pretty mediocre character. A spin off would be overkill for this overrated newbie.

He is my favourite charcater in MKX but I don't know about a whole spin off personally I would like to see an outworld chronicles dlc story pack that had a few chapters with him and a few other outworld characters playing out their side of the story with perhaps a bit of a flashback for Erron black to show his origins This wild be much better in my opinion. A chapter around the alliance of Mileena, Tanya and rain to see how they all came together would be good too.

I still want a Jarek spinoff game involving him chopping down trees with his kick ax to build a pancake house in the middle of the wilderness.

I wouldn't say I "want" it, but I would definitely purchase and play it if it were to ever happen, but that doesn't really say much considering I will buy any MK video game anyway lol

It would be cool though, I am imagining a Red Dead Redemption style game with the player controlling Black and taking place in Outworld, pretty much beginning when he first gets there.

What's with people getting hung up on him being new? So what? He's interesting imo, and he's got potential as a character, so for that reason alone he deserves his own game.

I wouldn't mind seeing NRS make a hack n slash (doesn't have to be MK)HNS play different than fighting games, but people take them just as seriously. They have combo artists, combo competitions, they learn frame data, start up and recovery times/frames, find exploits/infinites, cancels etc. Its kind of cool actually. Some of those DMC pros are insanely good lol

Perhaps 150 years ago there was another MK tournament going on (the 7th of 10?) and Erron was hired to eliminate some competitors. But when the going gets tougher than he bargained for and Shang refuses his demands for higher pay, Erron cuts ties and becomes a free agent, taking odd jobs while being hunted by Shang's minions for his treachery. Maybe he'd helped Outworld win a few tournaments before going rogue, and the game could span a good century of adventures.

If the game lets you beat down a horde of Tarkatans to earn his Tarkatan blade, and he can ride at least one Outworld monster as a battle mount, I'm in. He's fairly new to the series and the MKX story didn't really explore his full potential, but this could really turn him into a next-generation icon.

Anyway, Erron may not be the natural first choice for a spinoff game main character, but he would probably make a good one.

I'm not sure about carrying a game himself. Maybe if it was like GTA V where you could switch to different characters that are intertwined and Erron was one of them. He could still have the RDR style while the other characters played more like a beat 'em up.

Or if NRS really puts a lot of effort into it, then have an open world game with multiple campaigns that are specialized to the character. Erron's could be a bounty hunter campaign, Reptile could have a MGS/Dishonored stealth campaign, Ferra/Torr as the brawler campaign, and finally Kotal as the one who brings them all together.
