Something I've noticed about the new DLC coming out (Kintaro, Kenshi, and Skarlet) is that it's a combination of all three things MK fans have asked for: a character from the roster of MK1-3 (Kintaro), a good character from the post-MK3 era (Kenshi), and a brand new character that was long rumored (Skarlet).

Do you think that's how they'll do future DLC? Have that same sort of formula?

For example, will we get a pack next that's:

Rain (MK1-3), Shinnok (post MK3), Argus (new fighter)
Motaro (MK1-3), Sareena (post MK3), Tremor (new fighter)
Khameleon (MK1-3), Tanya (post MK3), Zebron (new fighter)

I mean, mainly do you think that they have a sort of rhyme and reason to why they picked these three specifically for DLC, and whether it's a trend that will follow for the future, or is this simply the mixtures of both fan demand and developer preferences?

Personally, I like the idea of something like that, grouped together with a mix of something old and new.

Kintaro has been confirmed not to be DLC. It's just Kenshi and Skarlet.

Personally, I don't think there's any formula to it, it's just based on the demand. Skarlet is because there is a demand for a new character, and Kenshi is one of the most popular characters from the later games, and his story fits the era.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next two to be named, or the only other two to be released, are Rain and Shinnok or Tanya. Both would fit the game, and both have a good number of fans compared to the other characters that could be offered.

Apparently...

With all the hype and excitement people got out of "Skarlet", I would say yes. Also, on people's DLC request lists in past threads, new characters were ranked highly. Personally I don't care for them, but there is a demand for them. I wouldn't say it's a large group, or even a majority, but there is a demand for them in some capacity. I'd much rather see already established characters be given a make-over and storyline overhaul, to make them better and more fleshed out than before.

Who was Vorpax? I've never heard of him/her, unless I've forgotten already. Edit: Ah, no wonder, I've never heard of her, I've never seen MK: Conquest before, haha.

lol wut? dude you gotta watch that show, I even started watching it again... there were a lot of awesome babes in that one. pity the show is 13 years old though... oh well.

Interesting theory Garlador...

Anyways I would gladly pay for some Frost DLC (even if she was bundled alone), she should have:
-Revamped old outfits especially the Alt grin -More alts the better.
-Awesome unique move set + ice daggers incorporated into them
-Unique ice powers different from Sub but retaining her elements from MKDA-MKA
-Her own story mode and ending
-The short Frozen spiked hair!

Good theory... 1 character for every need (new, classic, post-mk4)... We'll have to see if it is a pattern once the next pack is revealed... the only classic that has yet to be revealed though is Rain...

As much as I'd like to see new characters, I really doubt this would be the route that they'll be taking.

Does it bother anybody else that with Skarlett we've only gotten 3 playable new characters in the SEVEN years since Deception? (not counting the DC characters and Sareena cause she was in MKTE, or Kratos)

I guess youknowwho kinda counts but still
