I don't dislike it as such. It just doesn't really fit her as a character. Actually, the only things I would change would be taking away the high heels and give her a tight white tanktop under her vest, something like her MKvsDCU top. Then her outfit would be alot cooler and alot more fitting for her.

It's the small details that turns something good into something great. ^^

I wouldn't mind either, if it weren't for those dumbass little straps at the bottoms of her vest. lol

It's awesome, end of story. I think Jade & Sonya have the best costumes.

A simple shirt would have made all the difference in the world. It would have probably made this my favorite costume for her (specially because she's rocking that vest and those AMAZING pants).

As of now, her MKvsDC costume is my favorite (despite the beret and a more simple design of her pants).

And you are quite right, actually. Many people did rant (and still do, myself included) about the costume for different reasons. The #1 being the absolute silliness of having no shirt under the vest.

That problem aside, it is a cool design that many like. Too bad they felt like they had to over-sexualize the females. Quite disappointing. Still, I'm glad they didn't put Sonya half naked with no pants....that would have been even more insulting for her character.

I'm betting we get Red Sonya in MK10. Yum.

The second picture Queve posted is what I had hoped for with Sonya. If she had a shirt under her vest and not high heels (like apparently every woman in the game), she'd be a lot better. The hat I don't care as much.

My only complaints is that she should be wearing combat boots and an undershirt, but I don't mind the vest she's wearing........mmmm

I do agree that jus putting a fucking shirt underneath would did miracles for Sonya. And I've just come to accept that women in most video games will always be just sex objects (like every other form of media), but I would think that they'd at least try to make them look different, since NRS boasted that they would make every character unique this time around. Instead, they did the EXACT OPPOSITE with the females on this game.

I definitely dislike Sonya's costume. I find it kind of boring and tacky, but at least the character model overall is good. I just wished that she'd dress in a more believable way, even in the fantasy world of Mortal Kombat. I'm thinking something along the lines of her wearing the kind of outfit she wore in the first Mortal Kombat movie. That would be badass, imo. For her alternate costume, she could show more skin by wearing a tank top (probably white or green) with shorts or camo pants for a more casual look that still ties into her affiliation with the U.S. army.
