Both of Jade's are great, especially the second one.

Nightwolf's second one is bad ass! Did not expect that.

Noob's and Smoke's are both great.

Sektor's second one made my jaw drop!

Both of Stryker's were great.

Kabal's second one was awesome.

CSZ's were both just as lame as his concept.

Yeah but it makes sense. Everyone complained that Scorpion had two cut-point fatalities that had nothing to do with his character. So they gave one to Quan Chi and gave Scorpion a much cooler one.

True, but now a sorcerer has a finisher where he cuts people with a sword. That's not much better. They should've given it to someone who really does fight primarily with a sword or sword-like weapon like Kabal or Kenshi.

A thread should seriously be stickied here soon but I have been trying to get all the Fatalities listed for myself and thought I would share the list I have. scorpion
1st - good
2nd- fantastic and so much attitude with the double kill -- hanging and no skin

liu kang
1st - good but could have been better
2nd - great, would not be liu kang without a dragon fatal!

kung lao
1st - excellent, his vertical slice was THE fatality of mk2
2nd - superb and so brutal

subzero
1st - fair but not good. not much thought went into this one.
2nd - fuck this first fatal, this one is nasty as hell! so much attitude! love it!

sindel
1st - good but the scream should have lasted longer and she should have held down the opponent's arms with her hair while she screamed into their ear. the slow-motion explosion is nice, though. good but could have easily been so much more.
2nd - good, the concept is rather simple, it is just a head explosion, but stuffing something in someone's mouth makes it better.

ermac
1st - great, brutal fatal
2nd - good, i like this one. it makes up for the silly, terrible jax fatal. i think this would have been better for shao kahn, though?

reptile
1st - good but they missed an easy chance for en epic fatal. the victim could have puked tons of bloody acid, chunks of organs, then their bowels spill out from a hole burned in their stomach. ripping out the stomach is just... ok.
2nd - great, uses 2 of his special powers and is gory.

kitana
1st - fair, a mildly spruced up version of her classic, simple decap.
2nd - have not seen.

johnny cage
1st - great, 2 classic fatals combined in a gory mess and a cocky head catch
2nd - have not seen

jade
1st - good, yeah it is a decap, but it is a decap with jade-tude. that's right, i said jade-tude, and you know what the fuck i mean! :)
2nd - great, very nasty fatal. vlad tepes would be so proud!

mileena
1st - great, one of the first fatals shown and still one of the very best
2nd - have not seen

nightwolf
1st - good, a spruced up decap that could have easily been great if they had added lightning striking the decap head on the axe at the end.
2nd - great, now this is the power of a shaman!

cyrax
1st - good, it is a basic slice n dice but the slow-motion kick gives it just enough attitude and prolonged gore to make it good.
2nd - fair, well they missed the net on this one. it makes no sense and 2 slice n dice fatals is too much. of all the gadgets cyrax has this is all they could come up with... and it makes no sense. the net should have reduced the victim to smaller cubes of meat. i would have thrown a bunch of grenades at the victim and when they explode launch a net to catch the pieces of the body in the air, and have the net return to cyrax with the body pieces inside and hold the net up.

noob saibot
1st - superb, easily one of the best fatals in mk9 and one of the best fatals ever in the history of mk. so brutal, so painful just watching it.
2nd - great, almost another superb fatal! this one is creepy and uses noob's special power well. being pulled down some unknown hole by a shadow, then being cut in half and crawling a bit, love every second of this one.

smoke
1st - good, i like it but they pull away the camera too quick when the skin is dissolved. another few seconds of looking at the aftermath of the smoke decay and this would have been a great level fatal.
2nd - good, the slow-motion top part of the head falling backwards is gross, and the body falling apart at least makes sense, unlike the cyrax net fatal.

sektor
1st - great, uses his special move perfectly and great camera angles. the legs burning at the end is amusing.
2nd - great, did not see this coming. was expecting another explosing and instead got a morbid limb tearing! if they had done the limb separation one at a time, or more slowly, it would have added to the gore factor and made this one superb, if not epic.

sonya
1st - good, simple but sonya is all about those legs
2nd - good, spruced up decap but pulling a wire through a neck is painful just thinking about it

jax
1st - poor, the head smash itself is not even that gory, the arm tear makes no sense after smashing the head. probably gonna be voted the worst fatal in mk9.
2nd - good, i loved this fatal in wargods, i like it even more in mk9

kano
1st - good, yeah it is lame he has two heart rips, but through the back is cool and squeezing blood out of the heart is nasty. this fatal should have been his eye laser.
2nd - great, ok its another heart rip, but he stuffs your face in the hole where your heart used to be... that is one big fuck you! love it! this is the superior heart rip.

stryker
1st - great, come on you know everyone says "don't taze me bro" during this one, and the tongue wiggling in the remains of the lower skull is FUCKING SICK! you need to see this one on a larger screen to appreciate how gory that lower skull is after the explosion.
2nd - great, love the hole in the torso, stryker turning his back, the slow-motion upper-torso explode is nice, but the kicker here is the wobbling, burning legs that finally fall over at the end. priceless. way to go stryker with 2 great fatals!

shang tsung
1st - good, creepy yet amusing at the same time. reminds me of the clown from stephen king's IT. do not care if it is a nod to the joker, this one is a keeper.
2nd - great, a nod to hara-kiri and probably the most gory, painful head decap in mk history. the laugh at the end is nice.

baraka
1st - great, he really fucks up his opponent! the detail of the gore in the one half of the body is almost too much, which i like.
2nd - good, it is a little silly and not plausible, but i like it.

kabal
1st - great, ok the kick in the air is not plausible, but the vertical slice in the air and head impaled on the sword is nice and gory.
2nd - great, possibly the grossest fatal ever, this would have been godly if there was a bigger hole in the bowels and if kabal had grabbed the intestines laying on the ground, THEN yanked the opponent onto the swords.

raiden
1st - great, not a fan of him using balls of lightning instead of bolts, but tearing the limbs off with electric force, then walking with swagger to the limbless torso and super smashing the head to the dirt... then a lightning storm as he raises his hands afterwards, this is a thunder god pissed off!
2nd - great, this one is a little confusing but it is original and makes a mess of the opponent, and certainly uses his electric god powers.

sheeva
1st - great, hellraiser in mortal kombat is always a good thing! so gory and painful to watch!
2nd - superb, this is better than great! this just might be the best fatal in the game! she rips off your arms, twirls them, puts her upper hands behind her head as she slaps you in the face with your severed limbs, then, after kicking you down, she claps with your hands in victory. this is the biggest fuck you after winning a fight in mk history!

cyber-subzero
1st - good, this could have been great but the explosion is very weak. but i like the nod to cyrax's suicide fatal in past mk. as per usual, the stumbling legs at the end is priceless.
2nd - good, yet again this could easily have been great. the shuriken in the brain is too quick. the needed to show more of that, and gone further by making it burrow out the back, then the ground-up brain should have oozed out the hole in the back. that would have been absolutely epic and disgusting.

quan chi
1st - superb, leg beat is an mk classic, and it is even better here. beating you with your own leg is bad enough, but going a step further and bashing your head apart with your own leg is superb.
2nd - fair, well to go from one of the best fatals in mk history to one of the most forgettable, is a shame. glad scorpion ditched this ho-hum head decap, but really all quan ever needs is his leg beat down.


so, overall really good fatals in mk9. we are missing a few, but even if the remaining few are all stinkers, there are still far more winners than losers. great job, nrs. a lot of the stage fatals so far are a thumbs up, too.

Sonya's second is awesome. It's really well created. The way she flips, the cinematic angles, that she actually struggles and seems like it takes an effort to do it. THAT'S how you do a cool decap fatality.

I didn't show Mileena's second because I didn't have it at the time. Now I have all of the Krypt fatalities and alts so I was going to do an updated, faster/smoother video with them all today.

Searching for it still...soon as I find it I will put it up. If anyone finds the input out please post it...same for Cage and Kratos. I don't have the game yet myself so I am searching for confirmed stuff on other forums and all. On TRMK some inputs for Cage are up but they were not really confirmed yet. All the other ones I find are videos without the inputs. The guy that did the videos posted in this thread is suppose to put up the rest on Youtube soon(see quote below).

Excuse my double post...I just wanted to bump to inform everyone I added the inputs for more of the second fatalities,stage fatalities and a couple babalities. Also I would like to thank all the posters on all the other forums...the list of names would be long so to just thank you all for the inputs and time is much easier. So credit to you all...including the streamers on JTV. Sorry these were a bit late because I fell asleep while at my PC lol.

I am wondering if I should just start another thread or not? What do all you here at MKO think? Or should I not bother until the embargo lifts and let a Mod post all the info and inputs officially?

I really like Cages second. He katate style chops the persons head right down the middle, and they are still standing there. He pulls out a trophy and says "and the award goes to..." and stuffs in award in your neck. He pushes you over right after (very fuck you kind of push)

Shangs clown thing is just stupid, I think someone there still had a chapped ass about it being censored in MKvDCU so they decided they were gonna show it this way. The thing is it just doesn't fit with shang, sure he's the only one that changes form but has he ever been a clown? it's just stupid and they should have had something better for him.
