The interviewer was kinda cute.
Anyway, another great interview. I love how he's not confirming or denying things. I want to be surprised when I play this game.

Two things I like unique to this interview:
1: Warner Bros telling them to take their time and make a quality game. Glad to see they finally have a stable producer. Midway just seemed like they wanted to milk the series out with rush job projects to keep itself a float.
2: The idea if the MK Rebirth film goes through possibly making a DLC costume set based on the movie version of the characters. Would be a fun novelty to have. Just the fact Boon and Co want to go all out with DLC is very appealing to me.

Good interview, indeed. Can't say I'm surprised he didn't confirm the presence/lack of new characters, but I don't see how passing on the info would spoil any secrecy. Unless he doesn't plan on revealing the final select screen between now and next Spring, we're going to find out eventually before release.
Then again, I'm pretty sure my favorite character is in, so whatevs.

Of all the people who partake in the "creation industry" (movies, tv, comics, video games etc.) is it just me, or is Ed Boon probably the most down to earth and fan friendly "creator"?
He just seems like someone who'd be approachable and cool to have a beer with.

I agree with Bryden, he does seem down to earth and fan-friendly. He is, actually, one of the few guys in the video game business that I know the name of. And you know, for once, I'm actually really excited about DLC.

The best part was him confirming that WB is giving them as much time as they want because they want the quality high when it's released. A far cry from Midway's policy.

Agreed. From the latest trailer, it's already apparent they've been given significantly more support to make a quality product. Can't wait for the finished result.
Something else I loved, the idea of keeping stuff secret and creating the "urban legend" environment of Reptile, Smoke, and others. Secrets that aren't spelled out, maybe not even mentioned in strategy guides. Just hidden gems of awesome. I love that idea already.
