I know everyone's entitled to their opinion, and I can understand how some people can like the 3D games more, but I just can't understand how some MK fans can say MK9 is boring. I just don't get it.

Perhaps it's the music, or the lack of color. Or maybe it's because there aren't pre-made combos like in the 3D games, and because in MK9 most of the time you have you dash during combos making it more difficult to do them. Casuals don't want to try remotely hard to do anything so they just give up and say the game is boring.

Meh, it's nothing against the gameplay on my side but mostly, having the possibility to get out of the way of such moves as Scorpion Spear and others just so that i can run to him and kick his ass would interest me even more sincerly. It ended as a downgrade of the challenge on my personal side that fact that i had to block or jump each time i was free.
The fact that it was really boring compared to the 3d era in my point of view as to do with the krypt, not as vast as MKDA and MKD. I didn't have the help of the net back then to know in which coffin were hidden the characters, stages or costumes. And still the modes? Knowing i couldn't choose my own character and unlock new ones just to decide when to do their part in the Storymode and challenge ladder just got me bored as fast as unlocking everything.
3 hours of exploring and i was kind of done. Not because i thought it was so bad. But because there was not much left to discover or enjoy but try and see a couple arcade endings. + whatever type of game i'm playing i'm not against competition. Just more in favor of a gathering with a couple friends than roaming the online feature.
