Exorcist was dark and it has one of the most memorable theme songs. It can work, edm in MK.

Legoslayer u are saying edm doesn't go with the flow in mk because it never happened before. In nightclub they fit in organ house with funky house with latest hits and classic hits. Only when u experience it happen flowing altogether u will say how well it works.

Yes mk needs to take music to next level.

What music? There's music in this game the whole time? I thought it was nothing but grunts, screams, and the occasional Raiden jibberish.

Most of the stage music from MK3 to MK Deception is in my music list when I work out. Working out to the Fire God music from MK Mythologies is awesome.

I really think you should play some Japanese fighting games. You will get a lot of that sort of thing with those games. It's just NOT MK, though. Not in the slightest.
Here is a bit of music from MK 1 re-created by me, just to give an example of something much closer to MK's vibe.

MK's music is something I'm a particularly big fan of and to me, it has always been Asian Dark Fantasy, fused with some synth elements to create a really un-earthly vibe. Nothing resembling "uplifting." Quite the contrary. This is a franchise based around brutal deathmatches. Happiness doesn't really go with spine rips.

One does have to admit that none of the music in MK games has been quite catchy enough to become as popular and iconic as, say, the Killer Instinct theme or most Street Fighter tracks (There's no MK equivalent to "Guile's Theme Goes With Everything")...
...but the MK1 Character Select and Courtyard songs do get stuck in my head every so often, and I really like that portion at the beginning of the Goro's Lair music that they used as a stinger before every single fight in MK9 story mode.

First sentence says it all. MK's music is not catchy unless we are talking about MK movie theme. If Warner Bros can buy the rights to the first two movies, they should easily buy the rights to this song.
OK the main point is MK needs catchy music, Organ beats are the catchiest beats ever...

Heavy Metal is not catchy.

I'm sorry, but nothing you say can be taken with any modicum of seriousness.

Your english hardly makes any sense. I'm just saying Electronic beats can work in MK and a few others agree.

As RazorsEdge has alredy said, the music in MK isn't catchy and this isn't either.

This is for those that's been saying Electronic beats wouldn't work in MK, this is a Eastern Martial Arts Film that features an Electronic song in this scene.
