That's part of why I didn't really care for Kratos as a guest character... I didn't mind the fact so much that he'd be a guest character, but it's the special treatment of the character.

If Kratos was going to do something different for those fatalities, why not have other characters (from the MK universe) do different things as well?

Johnny doesn't shove the trophy in his head when he beats him. There are some steps being taken to not humiliate him.

His mouth also stays closed in every fatality performed on him.

Aaand Mileena doesnt nibble on his head after she takes it off in her Be Mine fatality.

Wait what? they gave him special treatment in the fatalities? that's total BS!! I have killed him but never paid that close attention. Honestly the more I play the game the more I see he's just not a character that fits, they can say he does all they want but Quan Chi is the only totally white bald player I want in MK, screw Kratos in MK and this is coming from a huge fan of God of war 1 and 2 (3 wasn't all that great)

I was actually pretty exited about Kratos... until I played the game. I wish he wasn't there at all. And not getting the full fatality treatment is just plain bullshit.

How dare a company control what happens to their creation!

The Kratos censors are a little odd I have to say. But, I agree with the guy above. It's their property. At least you can kill him.

It's a little thing, but it's one of the big reasons why I'm against guest characters like this.

It's a discrepancy between what us Mortal Kombat fans want and what Kratos's owners demanded.

If I beat the hell out of Kratos in Mortal Kombat with a double flawless victory and I want to rub in the humiliation to my defeated opponent, I want him to be just as much a screaming, crying dismembered corpse-in-waiting as everyone else. That's the point of the Fatalities - not so much the gore, but the satisfaction of utterly destroying your defeated opponent.

And I'm bothered that Kratos operates on his own rules outside of MK, and it makes little sense why MK characters would do certain things (like Mileena's face-eating fatality) to every character BUT Kratos. Dammit, if I want her to eat his face, and I do that fatality, I WANT Kratos to get creamed and destroyed just like every other character. Sadly, that's not the case.

Strange how he can be subject to some of the most horrific and humiliating finishers in the game, and yet minor things that give it that extra "oomph" aren't applicable to him and him alone.

I actually just tried out these examples people gave and I find it quite silly, if your character is too good to experience the full fatality, why put him in the game? It's not like fatalities are anything shocking or new to the creators of GOW, and after some of the deaths I've seen Kratos dish out in God of War against the Greek gods and others, you'd think they wouldn't care, but alas I guess not. LOL@ Kratos being too good to scream with his mouth open, experience full fatalities, react the same to fatalities as others because he's too "bad ass to scream or be truly humiliated". I didn't care that much about Kratos being in the game, but giving him special treatment is just stupid. He's from a gory mature game and they can't handle him being humilated, really?. Oh and this for sure.

Guests characters are nothing but gimmicks, and this is proof. Dolla dolla bills, y'all.

from what i can tell they mainly tried to cator to his attitude that even when getting killed kratos doesn't scream like a bitch he just feels the pain with an angry face, the part with ermacs pest control thing was thats how kratos acts when facing a giant character he aint scared he usually makes those gestures when about to face giants i mean look when he fought cronos kratos didn't cower he stood up to the giant mountain man, though i admit they seem to have avoided completely humiliating him with johnny cages trophy fatality

^ what he said. I actually like his the best with the pest control fatality. wish they had some of the other mk characters act not so scared.

On the plus side, Kratos can MURDERIZE Kahn (Golden Fleece counter all his projectiles- you can easily get a Flawless this way).

Exactly. They will surely make Kratos take it like a man, but other honorable warriors like Scorpion, Nightwolf, and Sektor still cry and run around like whimps when they would most likely not be scared. If they did it for him, they could have done it for others. So while it does fit his character, it's still obvious that this is only to prevent his humiliation.

He fights giant creatures all the time in his universe. The trophy and head bite are dumb though. I personally like playing as Kratos he has a great moveset.

Just because their gimmicks doesn't make them wrong. I'm sure there are lots of casual players who love using Kratos. I know there are many online. Haha. Zoning them out with fireballs is hilarious.

id say im one of those casual gamers who likes kratos. yeah, it is BS that they didnt make mileena eat his face, but the pest control thing is just what he would do, as others have said.

also, who ever you keep using fireball on is an idiot if you beat them like that. just using golden fleece can really mess up that strategy of yours :P

Babalities dont' seem to work on him either. It's a shame. He's not some almighty untouchable character, I mean, it's extra effort just so you can say "we killed him, just not THAT badly" and it's like, what's the point?

The whole not moving his mouth at all to talk or scream thing is what's hilarious to me. 'Cause he's still making the noises, so it just comes off as an area where they got lazy with the animation.
