I'm still a little mixed up as to whom deserves my favourite character spot.

It's a tough call between

Liu Kang - After playing with Johnny Cage in MK1. Liu Kang was my next favourite, however when he changed in MK2 he soon turned into my favourite character, i hold this character in very high regaurd. And has generally been my favourite character up until MKDA and D, when he was killed off and turned into a Zombie. It may be sad - but Liu Kang is possible one of the key reasons why i am who i am today (A keen Martial Artist, a Chan Buddist, and i love the Shaolin Culture) - yes i was young aswell when i played the first MK's so obviously certain things are going to have an impact on me moreso than other things.

Stryker - Many people hate this character, personally he was the second best character to come out of MK3. He was the first character i played (when i got the full version of the game). And i pretty much stuck with him since, he has never had much going for him, but his style is unique to mortal kombat which makes him different to most fighters in the game.

Kung Lao - Kung Lao was the coolest new char in MK2 - i loved the fact he was a shaolin monk, and he had a a sharp hat that looked a little like a coyboy hat. Being young and niave at the time i always thought he was a shaolin coyboy :P. But i love this character and his story line

Kabal - one of the most origional looking characters in the game, he also has a fairly unique story and pretty cool looking weapons (i also own a set of hookswords)

Johnny Cage - the first character i ever played with, hes such an awsome character, unfourtunately he has turned a little sour since mkda, but i am hoping these new psychic powers will better him in the near future.

Darrius - This character was definately one of the better new characters to become introduced in MKD. Even though his story was pretty crap, and it would have been more worthwhile making him an earth warrior (i did have an idea for a better story for him). His alt costume is what makes this character. Jim Kelly has to be the coolest looking Martial Artist EVER, and since we already have a Jean Claude Van Damme, Bruce Lee, Cynthia Rock(sommatorever) wanna b's why not a Jim Kelly want to be. Also i was a big fan of Cages fighting styles in MKDA and this character had them (bar the nunchaku) which made him more fun for me.

My favorite character : Sub-Zero, Lin Kuei Ninja Grandmaster, King of The "Kold" My reasons -- I've been told that my demeanor is... "cold", yet that doesn't mean that I am.

scorpion-he is a kick ass ninja spectre from hell as well as my all time fave
kung lao- he is awsome and and easlily one of the best from mkda
ermac- telekenesis has always been my favorite power and fits ermac well
liu kang- i know many dont take liu seriously but he's got good combos
baraka-his blades are awesome and like liu have great combos
reptile- a more mysterious kombatant i dont think rep's had a bad fatality yet!
kano- another of my evil faves kanos got great specials and combos
onaga- the only boss i like. he's pretty cool and is the hardest boss to beat
subzero-not even close to my all time fave but subby's got good combos too
small blaze-despite unoriginal fighting styles small blaze is kool too
kenshi- i just love that he can kick peoples asses with a blindfold
evil raiden- raiden was always cool but now hes just awesome!

ERMACERMACERMACERMAC! He whups ass with his telekinesis.

My favorite are SUBZERO,CYRAX,and SEKTOR.

sub-zero because he has a cool power that can freeze your butts!

reptile to that can eat your face!!!!!!!

Baraka because he is the most psychotic character and craziest looking character

Goro is my first favorite char since playing the MK1

#1 Fujin Fan-Awesome and more underrated God, unlike Raiden who rushes into shit to protect Earth and gets himself corrupted Fujin I believe is more disciplined and wiser overall. His powers are also awesomeness! Power of Wind owns, can do so much but we've seen little of his full potential! : )

Ermac-just a badss period. Most powerful TK character in MK and out of most series. Ermac is also way better as a Good guy rather then Bad guy.

Cyrax-I've always liked him out of the 3 cyberninjas, the Net was cool and his story went from bad to good. Same as Ermac.

my favorite mk kharacter is scorpion because the spear move is bomb
