Why does it say "rated M for mature" at the end? I thought most places are rating it R18?

If that is the case, us aussies got screwed over!

And it seems they're still working on their lighting and shadows (well hopefully) as the many spots where there's effects but no shadows or shadows falling the wrong way.

Ootherwise looks good smile and Jax's Fatality looks nasty!

M is about as high as mainstream games get in america. Officially it's 17 and up.

We do have an "Adult's Only" rating, for 18 and older (because that 1 year adds so much maturity to your life right?) but I think the game practically has to be porn (or torture porn on the violence end) to actually get it. Nothing they sell at a department store ever has it.

But ummmmmmm... no, I'm pretty sure that's right where the rating has always been. In America anyways.

And yes, Australians are getting screwed. I don't think anyone is disagreeing.

Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony wont allow AO rated games on their consoles. Thats why you never see AO games

There are some more high profile AO games for the PC but that's about it.

I'm excited to see The Tower. grin Great to see Old Shang too.

Hmm, I don't think we've seen: Pit 1 or Pit 3. But it's likely their going to pass Pit 2 and a cross between Pit 1 & 2 and throw out the first. sad

I also don't recall if I've seen The Portal from MK2. I'd LOVE to see that if I missed it somehow. wow

No, quite a few of them won't be in the game, sad to say.

its rather low res video, even though they claim it is hd, it is a blocky, low res video. i think what is shown in the tv spot is just to get an idea for now until we get a decent hd version of it. i think the lower res can explain a lot of gripes or oddities in the video.

My theory for now is that they are combining the Pit3 with The Soul Chamber, kinda like how they combined The Pit 1 with The Pit 2. Though I'm not sure how they will handle The Portal, if it makes it.
It amazes me how many stages ARE in this game. Now that we know The Tower is in, how many does that make? From what I can see we have:
The Courtyard
The Garden area
Shang's Throne Room
Goro's Lair
The Pit/Pit 2
The Dead Pool
The Wastelands
The Tower
The Living Forest
The Armory
Kahn's Arena
The Subway
The Street/Waterfront (not sure if there are two seperate arenas)
The Rooftop
The Soul Chamber
The Graveyard
The Church
The Bell Tower
The Netherrealm
The Desert
Kratos' Arena

Compared to, what, 6-10 for MvC3? They are putting so much work into this one.,

Shang looks awesome!

We only saw the end of it, but 10 to 1, Jax's ground pound looks cheesy as all hell. (Probably why we only saw the end, that's the only good part).
In the background of the Gardens arena you can see two people fighting on The Pit 1 so that still gives me hope that its in the game

I love the music.

It really gets you pumped for kombat (imo).

I'm loving all the new arenas and new footage. Kahns throne room (in particular) looks outstanding.

I can't wait for this game.

I like this ad a lot. I think the music is very good (doesn't need to be hard rock/metal or that kind all the time, like the majority seem to prefer).

Gotta say this video is pumping me up a lot and can hardly wait to play the full game. Seeing Jax 's fatality as a potential good one, don't care if the smashing into the ground is considered cheesy.
Great entrance for Shang Tsung.
I see some elements (the large skull in the corner) from the Kombat Tomb in the background of the Tower. Maybe they have mixed those two (just jumping the gun over here smile )?
