His whole body is full of water. I am pretty sure he is drowning and THEN exploding. It doesn't necessarily have to be one or the other. Both are quite possible, which I believe it is.

Also, I posted this in my Rain's gameplay thread, but I find it worth mentioning in here as well.

Kung Lao does so in his special move AND X-Ray move. Reiko spins around in his "teleportation" move in MK4 which was then given to Hotaru in MK Armageddon.

And none of those characters are balletdancers.
So please, stop referring to Rain as such. It makes no sense.

This makes me wonder. If he's the prince of Edenia, does that mean he's Kitana's brother?

Or is it just another reference to the artist?

It's another reference, but hopefully we will get an in-game reason for it as well. Or else I find the title rather ridiculous.
