Yeah it definitely sounds like that. But I think it was just a poor choice of words... I wish they were just unlockable though!

IF they are just codes to unlock alternates in the krypt then we'd all be able to share our codes and have all the classics for the male and female ninjas. Which would be awesome! But that's why I doubt it.

i never noticed the granny panties on mileena, even while snapping the pics and posting them. it is funny they did that. i would assume the mostly exposed boobies in all new mk9 outfits would be too much for a commercial if swimsuit crotch is too much for them.

I would have loved to be the one at NRS that got the commercial sent back to them from Gamestop with a note saying "Mileenas outfit is not appropriate for TV... please give her a pair of granny panties to fix it. Thank You"

Hilarious video . Both classic costumes look good, and the toasty fatality looks cool. Glad I pre-ordered from Gamestop.

If i recall correctly, Boon said on his twitter that they would not be charging for on disc dlc, so it might as well be unlockable.

If I recall correctly he said something much more ambiguous and vague on the matter, that sounded kinda like free on-disc DLC was something he'd LIKE to do... but it was by no means something he promised... and then people who don't want to pay said, "OMG GREAT NEWS!" and made a rumor out of it... and then as it spread around the internet... and like many internet rumors, people began to restate it as if it were fact. Or a promise.
