Either way the retcon freed Mileena from her kill Kitana cycle. Sacrifices had to be made, but IMO is for the best
You miss the point about Mileena's outfits. I'm not trying to say that the characters can't or even shouldn't dress differently. What I was getting at was with the way Mileena dresses (and even acts), how exactly are people going to believe her to be Kitana?
Regarding her old story, what exactly was wrong with her wanting to kill Kitana? It's not as if it's the only thing her story involved. I don't understand how her new story is for the best when she barely has one. Of course this is her first game in a series of new games with new stories, but given the way her character is now, I don't see much good in store.
Well, she had her eyes closed, looks like Kitana and until that moment she did not have any other family. It could be easy to assume that she disguised a little to escape Khan Fortress
In the old series as long as Kitana was alive Mileena would want to kill her, the only time she did other than wanting to kill her was in MKD and she still was centered in taking her role. In the new one Mileena has full chance of being the Queen in her own right, instead "RAWR REPLACE KITANA"
