I want at least 2 per character, being actuall fatalities. Im not opposed to a brutality or other being added after.
And I Would love to see Hara-Kiri's again. Giving a last laugh to somebody who tops you, you dont away completely shamed.

I would like to have 2 normal fatalities than i would like friendships/mercy and animalities to return. I would really like animalities to be properly done without color highlights. I want to see them turn into what looks like real animals not ghosts from ghostbusters.

At least 2 per character, but a 3rd one would be cool even if only a few had it. I wouldn't be apposed to the 3rd being something of a wild card such as a Brutality/Friendship/Animality etc.

Whatever happened to Sadistic_Freak? That cat had all kinds of fatality discussion.

King Jolly had the right idea. Unless they incorporate the fatalities into the gameplay, I really couldn't care less. The appeal of finishers back in the day was that most casual players didn't know how to do them, so performing them in front of a crowd of onlookers was actually rewarding.
Now anyone who remotely cares about MK can see all the fatalities on youtube before the game is even released along with their inputs, not that this is the fault of the creators, but like konquest mode, fatalities just won't be relevant for more than a few days after the game comes out.

They could always make them tougher to pull off. They won't of course...but it would be a solution to the dilemma you just stated. Personally, I think it wold be neat to have 3 fatalities, each ranging in difficulty.
I'll use Sub-Zero and previous Fatalities as examples:
1st: Spine Rip(Classic)
-Player must imput a simple button code. F, F, D, F, HP
2nd: Skeleton Rip(MK:DA)
-Player must imput a harder button configuration and be a certain distance. F, U, F, U, B, D, LP (Close)
3rd: Freeze, Head Rip, Shatter(MK:D)
-Player must not have Run or Blocked in 2nd Round of fight, imput code, and be a certain distance. F, F, D, D, B, HP (Sweep)
These are mere examples, but they depict a system where it would require more of a challenge to complete the 2nd, and the 3rd would require strategy and skill. This system would reward players in a similar fashion as you mentioned, and it would seperate those casual players who can only pull off 1 and maybe 2, but the 3rd would be something special when pulled off.
If only they read this...lol

2 "given"
1 "secret" very brutal and nasty. I'd call this a brutality... but not be a super combo explosion like the trash in UMK3/MKT

Two fatalities, and a Hara-Kira.
I have no interest in seeing things like Brutalities(which all ended the same, with making the opponent explode).
Friendships were only made too make fun of people who got upset at the games violence, nowadays, there are games more violent then Mortal Kombat.
Animalities were stupid too, and some of them made no sense.

I would love to see more than two fatalities per character and forget the other finishers. We have been stuck with two since MK2. I can't believe the series has never increased that number. How great would it be if you start off with two per character and unlock new ones as you progress through the game?

I guess I'm old fashioned, but I keep true to the 2 per character. :D
