At least in Practice Mode there is a chance to adjust the damage settings and such, maybe that will affect in other modes as well. I haven't had a need to turn it off but have you checked the Extras section entirely?

I think it's only possible with a kombat kode and hence only when you're playing against another player and he inputs the same kode as you do. The kode is Raiden, MK, MK I believe.

Thanks for the replies guys,
I get tired of both myself and the practice dummy turning all red when trying combos. Like I want people to identify the fighter and after a bit they're just soaked.

So the code is only during vs? That stinks.

I did not find any option in the practice menu that could modify damage or blood unfortunately :(

Are you certain of that? The in-game menu (with the move list and such).

I don't see it either, but I'd like to turn it off too. Blood and combat damage is cool and everything, but after about 5 minutes of combo practice they look like something out of a B horror movie.

See that is just it. There are going to be times when someone else will walk in and it would be nice to have an on/off feature for the blood and damage. Don't get me wrong though, I like the gore in this game since it is mortal kombat. But after a few minutes in practice I can't tell the different between sektor and CSZ :)
