As information has unfolded, I've experienced three entirely different reactions to this game. I don't even know how to feel anymore.

But it's a definite buy. I said before that if it ended up taking place or being caused by the events of MKA, I would give it a purchase. Even if it wasn't... the game looks fun as hell.

You're not alone Cyberdog. I was also on the fence about this game to say the least. I was hopeful going in to E3, but what I saw in that teaser trailer, and everyone saying that it's just MK1-3's story and the fact that it seemed like we were only seeing MKvsDC but with all MK characters, I was rather unhappy to say the least. I also thought that the character models were mediocre at best.

But now it looks like at least two of my three fears have been eliminated. The graphics look fantastic, the fatalities are flat out brutal and awesome and to think that this game still has 9 months to evolve and look even better than what we've seen so far is fantastic.

I'm also thrilled about the story component. I don't know if it'll play out what my mind's extrapolating on from Ed's words, but the idea of seeing the first three games playing out totally differently based on Rayden altering the past through his knowledge of the future... Well, that's just flat out awesome to me.

Sure, I might not be too happy if Sonya becomes a cyber ninja that works for the Red Dragon, but I'm reasonably confident that they'll make this story good, surprising and fun to play though.

My only worry now is the level of new content. Ed's indicated that we'll only see the MK1-3 roster, but seemed kind of evasive when the idea of new characters came around. IGN basically said he wouldn't go in to it.

C'mon, are we really going to have Trilogy's roster and NOTHING new? To me, that seems like a crying shame and a waste of great gameplay and story concepts. I'm not saying that those WILL be wasted, I'm just saying that adding a little new in with the old could make a good game even better. It's not a guarantee, but if they can make characters that play anything like how this game looks in motion, I think people will be pleased.

Still, my initial reactions were, for the most part wrong. I'm holding out hope for some new content, and Ed seems to be intent on packing this game with secrets, which is ALWAYS welcome, so we'll just have to wait and see! I can't wait to watch the information roll in, and the sooner the better!!

Yea, I can't wait... But I never doubted the game in the first place, I just buy it if it has MK on the box, beat it, play it till I hate it, then move on, lol. EXCEPT for the first 3. I'll play those forever. I mean, even when I'm like 85 forever!

It's just so brutal that they show us all this good stuff now. You get really pumped up and excited about the game.

But in 9 months or more, I'm afraid I won't be as much excited as I am now.
So hope there will be some prelaunch goodies
