JAX, FREAKING JAX is in this game! What would Jax be without Sonya???

Jax reveal was Sonya's ticket into this game, she won't be left out for 100%.
Of course Jax was on his own in MKII but this is not MK2 so the two are 100% sure togheter.

I think those boots were quite orgasmic. Not a fan of the rest of the outfit, though, seemed a bit too bland to me. But the boots were sexy as hell! I'd love for them to come back in one of her costumes!!

I'm still all for a revamped mix of an MK4 + MKDC or even an MK4 + MKSM costume for new Sonya. I want her to look a little bit more sleek and "futuristic", ala MK4, with the tough, boot-in-your-ass little details of DC + SM.

Except the time period this game is based around is during the first three games.

I think the trouble with her DA/Armageddon alternate was that her body model was wayyyy off. Her boobs (which looked alright in the camo jacket) were just sort of... point? And overall, the tech just wasn't there to pull off the look they were going for.

Rather than being awesome army outfit (which they were goin' for) it ended up... weird unfitting 5 dollar halloween costume. IMO anyway.

Her MK4 look is my own personal favourite. It was the first time I played as her (actually, the first time I ever played as any character in any game, and I've since had an affinity for blonde girls with ponytails, despite the whole homo thing).

That sort of shirt, from 4, coupled with the ponytail and cap (or dc beret) with some kick ass tight pants. That's all she really needs.

I've been trying to think of some new acrobatics for her but I'm not clever enough >_<
Maybe a variation on the frankensteiner/hurricanrana (which is similar to her leg throw already)

No, you said that this is not MK2, but technically it is.

She will be in this game but god damnit she has really over stayed her welcome. Her and Jax had NO place in MK4 or Deadly Alliance.

For an alternate costume I thought it was an amazing treat for the fans. I too think it was an excellent design. That costume is very elegant, modest, and sexy. I love it.





However, for this new game, I much rather see a new/different direction in her alternate. I'm guessing her primary will be a more "traditional" Sonya. I'm hoping her alternate explores more possibilities (short pants, entire skin tight outfit with cool designs, etc).



I 100% agree with you. I adore her futuristic MK4 look and I did fell in love with that sexy top, the long ponytail, and the cool cap. I prefer her MK4 cap over her DA/DC beret to be honest.





And yeah, there are plenty of creative acrobatic attacks that can fit Sonya perfectly. Hopefully they will give her new special moves based on those kind of attacks.

Of course she's coming back. Sonya is a very popular/iconic figure in the MK series. She's the first lady of Mortal Kombat. I don't see the mk team talking about going back to it's roots and not add the first 7 characters of Mortal Kombat. Kano,Liu Kang,Raiden Johnny Cage,Scorpion Sub-Zero,and Sonya(my #1 Character).

For Sonya, it is revealed that when she is not saving the world from invasions she is still risking her life to save others as a Lifeguard in Earth's beaches.

It also goes as far as to say that: "don't pretend you are drowning for some mouth-to-mouth resurrection, because Sonya will kick your ass....after saving it!".
