God no. NECA sucks. Every figure I've ever bought from them has shattered upon the lightest drop. And DCD just lacks articulation. DCUC is slowly replacing them as DC's main figure distributor

Well NECA and DCD cater to the more adult collector market and they usually handle the video game licenses here in the West. Surely both these companies are better than Jazwares

I'd normally say Hasbro, Mattel, or even Bandai of America but they wouldn't touch MK with a ten foot pole.

On an aside I do wonder how long DCUC will last with it's increasing price point and poor distribution. I see it becoming an online only line, ala MOTUC, in the future while the DC Movie toy lines remain in the stores.

Jazwares confirmed a tentative release date of Fall 2011 for the MK toys. Don't know why they wouldn't be ready by now, but okay...

Fall 2011 Release date? They must be crazy! They need to have the first wave out with the games release. People will lose interest before other waves are even released. Seriously, Jazwares stinks like shit.

Jazwares is far from the best, but I'd put the above NECA since my Scorpion from 2005 is still tight jointed and without paint rub. The others are fine too, but they came later.

I'm loving this line. But just like everyone else I really hope they don't F this up I'm 14 so I was never able to get the original figures since I was born in 96 I do have a few Deception and SM figures.But just yesterday I had to put super glue in scorpions joints to tighten them up.And I wish they would make some of the women my niece comes over and plays with my MK collection and she comes to me and goes where is kitana?I would love some new characters but honestly I like having new versions of scorpion and I'm dying for a new Sub Zero since I only have the deception figure.I'm really looking forward to the 3 inch figures and the Cyborg 3 pack and the figures its like getting the figures I want now that I missed out on and SMOKE!!!

I'd take NECA over Jazwares because their products look incredible (just browsed to some internet pictures to make sure what they look like). I'd just be extra careful with the figures/collectibles so as to not break them.

So much more quality in their beautiful figures and sculptures (or am I looking at the wrong products?).

Jazwares's MKSM wave was decent, but, it seriously can't compete to the likes of NECA, imo. And their MKD was just awful.

I like how Jazwares is going with sets rather than all separate figures. Let's hope we get a set of bosses done like the ninja set.
The boss set could have Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Goro, Motaro, and Kintaro. I wouldn't rule out a set of female ninjas as well.

I agree, a female lineup would be glorious. Or at least include 1 in the big sausage fest. It's really not too much to ask for.

The second wave featured: Raiden, Jax, Johnny Cage, Reptile, and Kitana, but, they were never produced or released because the company closed.

It's a real shame because all those extra figures (Jax and Johnny, in particular) looked absolutely amazing.
