I loved that!

I love all those little cool easter eggs, trivia and details they did for the fans.

We also have:

1) Li Mei chained in the other side of the arena.

2) Mysterious slutty woman next to Kanh's throne.

3) Taven and Daegon fighting in the MK2 bridge.

4) Kenshi and (maybe) Reiko on the other end of the bridge,

5) Shang Tsung on his throne room.

Who else?

It was really cool to see these bits of easter eggs in there. It brings me back very nice memories from the first 3 games, when the debate and intrigue for secrets and answers was super intense.

Mysterious... or generic.


Pretty cool seeing the little cameos in the background, but it smacks of the same things they did in the last games with non-playable characters. Not a lot to get our hopes up about, but fun none the less.

I was hoping they wouldn't bring back characters from mk:da - mk:a. (sigh) There's nothing special about Kira.

They're fighting in the background of the Pit stage on the left around the 0:27 mark. Not 100% sure it's Kabal looking at the video on some dodgy tech right now, though.

Presumably it picks from a handful of random skins for the characters in the background.

I'm about 90% sure that's not Kabal, it's Daegon again. The guy fighting Kenshi looks like he's wearing red pants to me.

On a lighter monitor they're less obviously red (mistaken for brown).

So many cameos. I wonder if Sindel will make an appearace.

I see all of this as a homage to MK2 and MKD. It's looking like characters from MK4 onwards are set for cameos across the game and they'll be in the backgrounds like characters were in MK2 or locked away or chained up like in MK2 and MKD. It's cool seeing so many of them in there.
What would be even more awesome is if there were a way to unlock some of them as playable and remove them from the backgrounds. Or another idea would be to allow access to a fight with them. Here's hoping something like that might happen.
