If he died in the story, how would he exactly become a God again? His ending had him defeat Raiden to become a God, and right now he's just a burnt piece of toast. How would he become a God exactly?

I was saying as a what if scenario. The MK story killed him off but his Arcade mode he beat Raiden and became a God. I was saying hypothetically would people wanna see Liu Kang as a God.

There are ways they could do it in the story. MK has seen many die and come back. One scenario could be that Liu Kang dies and the Elder Gods resurrect him and make him into the protector of earth realm while Raiden becomes an Elder God.

I am not saying this is likely or going to happen, just asking if anyone would want to see it happen down the line. Seeing Liu Kang in his MK9 arcade ending as a fire god was pretty awesome!

Why not both?
It could really happen, that the Elder Gods (for whatever reason) resurrect Liu AS the protector-of-Earthrealm-fire-god. Just have to cross the digits and wait.

I'd like to see Raiden and Liui Kang's relationship get repaired eventually. They're the two biggest heroes of the franchise when factoring in their importance on events. I do think Liu will return as a zombie at some point, so maybe Raiden can help him win the battle between body and mind. After winning that battle, It'd be cool to see Liu ascending to the skies to be the new protector of Earthrealm, like in his MK9 ending.
