Any body else think it's a bit too simplistic and a bit boring after a while? The first few times, it looked sick with Scorpion punching Sub-Zero, and then progressing to an X-Ray look of his skull when you press Options and such.

But that's it. That's all it's going to be? I would want some variation of some sort. Perhaps other characters fighting?

In my personal opinion, MKD had the best Menu. It had such a dark, gritty feel with thunder and lightning sounds in the background. It also had different character renders on the side as well. Also, when you highlighted something such as 'Arcade' or 'Chess', it would show a foggy image of the gameplay footage on the side. I loved that.

I just think the Menu is a bit dissapointing, but I doubt it's going to change.
Both the Menu screen, the Character select screen and the choose your fighter music are REALLY boring in the demo to me. Hopefully the menu screen switch up in the final version and the character select screen and music change

I imagine the animations changing depending on the menu you select, demo only has (option) available.

I couldnt' agree more, the music is just bad overall. Mortal Kombat 3 had the best Title Theme, Menu, Character Select Screen, and of course Choose Your Destiny. Why wouldn't Dan Forden use them as inspiration?

Plus, the music is low as fuck. You can barely hear it. Even when your actually playing a match.

In MK3, the soundtrack of a stage was loud and you can hear it. Why isn't it the same?

Mortal Kombat 3:

Title Theme.

Menu.

Choose your Destiny.

Character Select Screen.

That's true, hopefully the scenery changes when you choose other options. If it's just going to be Scorpion fighting Sub-Zero, but with just different hits it's going to get boring fast.

Yeah I'm guessing it'll be like MKvsDC where they do something different each time you select something. I hope so at least. I would like it there were a bunch of different groups of characters that came up randomly. Like Scorpion vs Sub Zero, Kitana vs Mileena, Raiden vs Shao Kahn, Johnny Cage vs Goro, Liu Kang vs Shang Tsung, Sonya vs Kano and whatnot.

I agree that MKD had the best Menu Screen ever. Shaolin Monks also ties in that category. Both games feature the best screens.

I enjoyed the beauty and darkness of them. Also, the little hidden messages around it (MKD).

MKD and MKSM have honestly the best and most epic screens of them all. The art is beautiful.

MKDA and MKA also feature some really cool screens.

This new one is just another Scorpion (and Sub-Zero) boring the shit out of me. Its so boring and uncreative. I rather have an animated background featuring little easter eggs, hidden messages, and just beautiful art.

Hopefully they will feature other characters besides those 2 or something more interesting to watch.

MKvsDC also bores me.

The menu in MKD is probably my favourite menu in any game. It's so perfect.

I wish we had something like that for menu, this one bores me.

I agree. I just feel it doesn't capture the Mortal Kombat atmosphere enough, and it just isn't as gritty or dark. This one just seems stale and boring.

Now if the same style is applied to different images when you click on different options of the game, and changes scenery, then it'll be A LOT better.

They need to stop trying to be creative by showing people fight on the main menu. MK vs DCU was retarded.

It's a helluva lot better than the MK vs. DC crap.

I like these kind of screens. Certainly better than anything else MK has done. But I just can't help but think "Super Street Fighter IV screens". Which isn't bad, it's just what these remind me of.
