I don't see the joke/lie here notice how long it took for Mileena to get that one picture?
Mileena was number 1 for an entire month why is it so scandelous that she gets an entire month devoted to her? In fact I have to ask wasn't she 1st ever since Kombat Chat was opened?
As for your expectation of more characters..Were you hopin they would get similar treatment to Sub Scorp Mileena Khan Raiden and ??? ???? because you really shouldn't have because that would be setting yourself up for disappointment later.
The week by week basis was crap in my opinion and I'm glad they're doing away with it at the moment.
As for February Maybe they'll reveal the 5th and 6th locked buttons for Her Sub-Zero and Scorpion because it doesn't look like Shao Khan or Raiden will win anytime soon. Maybe Raiden and Khan will be spotlighted in March and April I mean why not?.. their designs and movesets should be done in that time anyway and a spotlight on either/both of them gives us more info on the story without spoiling the whole thing months before the game is out.
The marketing isn't that good but you know as the months creep closer to April I find myself not giving a fuck anymore and I start to point and laugh at that large majority still bitching about the marketing. But that's a different monster to argue about.

No. I think you misunderstood my first pat (even though I understand your second part/opinion).
I'm not upset (at all) about Mileena finally getting her very well earned attention this month. She's actually one of my faves so I'm very happy to finally see some content featuring her.
What IS fucking scandalous and ridiculous and stupid and annoying and lame and bad marketing/promotion is that it's going to take an ENTIRE MONTH for her to get her updates when we all very well know that this is exactly what they had planned since the beginning after taking centuries shoving down the fucking boring ninjas down our throats. That's why "kombat chat" is a joke. These updates should had started over a month ago along side all the mkasts and all the annoying Scorpion and Sub-Zero stuff we were still getting.
It's no surprise that she is getting a shadow wallpaper, a render, a gameplay video, and a bio video because these is what it was intended to happen after they were done with the ninjas. I think it was pretty obvious they would target her "next". How serious/real is this "kombat chat"?

We got nothing of her for over a month, for all that time, and just now we are supposed to be grateful that (over a month later) she'll be getting slow updates that will take a month to complete???? WTF?! Speed up the thing so we can also get a glimpse of Cyrax, Sektor, Sonya, Cage, Raiden, etc.
You are totally right that as the months go by and we are getting closer to April all of this will matter less and less and less, but, for now, it matters a lot and it pisses most people off. It's stupid.
It's really lame. It's really really lazy. It's annoying.
So much time wasted over slow updates that took months of only Scorpion and Sub-Zero stuff being shoved down our throats, and now that all of that is finally done (which took months), we'll barely get anything from the rest of the characters.

It should not take a fucking month to release content for Mileena, just like it should not have taken six just to get around to it. Had they maintained some consistency with these bio videos and images, we would have been able to cover all of the announced characters, and shed a spotlight on all of them. Obviously, with the game three months away, that's not gonna happen. So while our throats are clogged with a couple mask-clad duds, we can't even look forward to seeing the same kind of attention given to the rest of the revealed roster. We'll be lucky to get bio videos for so much as two more characters at this point.
The official site is Joke #2. I've seen the forums where these "Kombat Chats" are supposed to take place, and the layout couldn't be more uninviting. A very small number of the revealed roster is actually present on the site, with one "mystery character" who has yet to be revealed. They try to give us the impression that we get to choose the characters who get spotlighted when all along they have predetermined everything for us and in fact stripped us of any of this faux-freedom we're supposed to be excited for.
Mortal Kombat has not won any of the "Most Anticipated" polls, and rightfully so. It shouldn't have had. Will it be an incredible game? Of course. Are they building anticipation well? He. Hehe. No. Color me shocked if more than 5% of casual gamers know there are characters in the game who aren't ninjas.
Oh well, if I'm gonna continue to be pissed off by NRS's marketing team, at least I'll be getting pissed off while enjoying a drawn-out month of one of my favorite characters. Could be worse.

looks like a random dummy getting its @ss beaten. not liu kang not nightwolf, like the previous ones were not baraka, not kano, not quan chi! for god's sake it's more possible that they have put hair on this one coz it is simpler than the previous images. scorpion's and sub zero's had more things going on and i seriously think they made the guy bald to take tone all this down. but mileena's image doesnt include her, only the guy getting stabbed so they might as well have put hair on him for the exact opposite reason!

You people do realize that we arent getting character bios and vignettes for EVERY SINGLE character in the game right? We will probably get around 8-10. The rest will be in the game in the Crypt. They arent going to do this promotion for every character
