My comp lags with anything higher than 720p, what would i need to get to play HD vids smoother?

Youtube is full of crap. That is not 1080p. And it will be some time before youtube will show anything in propper FULL HD quality.

yeah best quality of course is going to be on your 1080p HDTV with an HDMI cable etc.

almost everyone knows about 2k and 4k now so eventually when stuff is able to be broadcast in that.. we'll have YouTube having a gag for that as well

You don't need a HDMI cable to get the best picture quality. It's such a big misconception that HDMI cables makes everything much better.
The HDMI cable wont give you a better picture than the standart VGA cable.

But the mortal kombat video is still cool!

VGA is analog. Technically hdmi should be better, because there is no converting being done.

Usually HDMI has a much greater bandwidth and can transmit higher resolutions.

Some TVs/Monitors give better picture with VGA and them some with HDMI.

I guess you gotta know your hardware before you decide what'll display better.

HDMI is the best.

Component or RGB can get close, but HDMI is slightly sharper on most screens and projectors, especially with the ability of 1080p.

Plus, HDMI can carry sound.

To say VGA is better..?... no.

Whenever Youtube integrates 2k resolution and beyond..
KombatTubeHD's videos will be presented again in the highest quality available at that time. Currently all the videos are in 1080p Youtube.
