What I really wanna see: Characters: Tanya as the fourth DLC would be awesome!! We need more ladies to diversify the roaster! **MOTARO!! I feel the MK 1-3 odyssey is just not complete without this guy. He can come later in the summer, or as a surprise DLC download. The model already exists and looks cool!! Klassic skins: Sonya from MK3 of course!!!! WIth a high-ponytail and a bit of make up! Johnny Cage MK2 (no glasses, no tattoo!) Nightwolf MK3 SIndel MK3 Kano MK1 (Bad-ass bald look) Jax MK2 (no metal arms Klassic Fatalities!! They can do 3 or 4 Fatalities for 5 dls! Every character should get an extra DLC Fatality! I wanna see Sonyas Kiss of Death fatality in HD baby!! And Kanos skeleton rip!! And Sindels Screaming Skin, and Mileenas Sai Stab and Sheevas Pound into the Ground one... you get the picture :) Stage Fatalities: 1 The Bell Tower, one of my all-time faves! 2 Armory (opponent gets uppercuted into the white-hot melted metal and the MK logo falls on him/her). 3 Evil Monastery (opponent gets thrown out of Monastery and his/her body strats aging until becoming a skeleton or dust). 4 Graveyard (uppercuted into the soulnado baby!) 5The PIt (impaled!) 6 Rooftop (uppercuted and opponent explodes when reaching floor! Or even better, gets eaten on the way down by one of the dragons!) 7 Soul Chamber (uppercuted into the soul feed, body dissolves) 8 Kahns Coliseum (thrown towards the big monster in the back -Tormentor- and ripped in half? SOmething to drives the masses wild!) *I know theyre a lot, but Id settle for 4: Bell Tower Graveyard Armory Evil Monastery Alt costumes and Nekropolis access for DLC characters! Cmon NRS!! this is NOT negotiable, were paying for these babies so they should be KOMPLETE!! DLC arenas! I miss the Bank!!! And the bridge where u fought Shao Kahn that had sawing machines in the bottom (stage fatality!) And the Warrior Shine!!! And the room where you fough Motaro! LOL DLC Story Mode chapters! At least five: Baraka, Sheeva, Mileena, Sindel and Kano!! AND FINALLY AND FOREMOST: A code so that the CPU characters use the alternate and klassic costumes!!! Cmon!! Itd be super easy to do!!! And it would make things so much cooler!!! WIll Mileena use her alt for the fight? Will you fight human Sektor or Cyber Sektor? Looking sharp shaman Nightwolf (one of the most awesome alt costumes ever!!!)!! And Friendships would be awesome but I know its not gonna happen. The team probably wont spend time making different Friendship animations for each character. As for Blueberry and Lime who do u think its gonna be?? Oooohh, I really hope its Johnny (blueberry a.k.a fancy) and Sonya (lime = lots of green baby!) or Jax/Sonya! Also, based on the color it could be Stryker and Sonya!! Though Id prefer Johnny! :D

I would LOVE to see Tanya return to the game, but for the sake of the classic mk 1-3 feel I would prefer Cyber Smoke as the 4th DLC.

Also NRS really needs to get on the issue of DLC characters not having alt costumes and them not being in Nekropolis. I was honestly pissed after i bought Skarlet and found that out ...

I know itd make the roster big but itd give them a LONG time to work on MK10 (( which i hope isnt a big let down :( )) but it would give the fans soo much choice and things to do along with adding more new charecters reviving some olds ect and it would probably keep and bring more players online wanting more DLC. giving them more than enough time to kill on making mk10.

Maybe even add the Elder versions of some charecters as they were in MK Deadly Alliance. but change them up a bit

@PsycloneM Methinks you should start a new chart for post summer DLC choices. Maybe limit people to four choices since these batches seem to favour that number.

Here are my four:
1. Khameleon - One of the few MK-MK3 era characters still missing, most likely has a cameo in the game, there's a lot of mystique there to shape an interesting fighter.

2. Havik - The only representation from Chaosrealm, moves could be updated into a very different and diverse moveset, has a cameo in Noob's ending.

3. Robo Smoke - Another piece of the MK-MK3 puzzle missing, was mentioned as a potential candidate by Boon in one of his tweets, model and certain moves already in place via Sektor/Cyrax, the guy has a trident that flies out of his chest! What more do you want?

4. New Character (possibly another rumoured character lost in time) - I think they did a nice job with Skarlet, I think new bodies keep the game fresh and can be woven into the next MK title

I’m not sure what my last chosen five were without looking it up.

But I’ll update with five more now that my main choice Kenshi has been chosen, which I’m very glad. I’m very impressed with him all around, amazing gameplay.

Does anyone know if the DLC characters are allowed in tournament play? I've seen Kenshi used in casuals, but I'm curious if we'll see them competitively.

So the new character is Freddy Krueger.... Kinda would've preferred another MK character but that's cool, he should fit in. My only question now is will there be more characters after this or is this it? Any thoughts?

I saw an interview with Ed Boon and he said "as of now" there would only be four characters, and the interview was before the game released. He said that the big plan with this game was the DLC so I'm sure that more will be released later on to keep the game fresh. I admit I was kind of pissed when I heard Freddy was going to be in the game...I really wanted a boss to be playable, like Motaro or something. That would've been alot cooler. Oh well.

Fred Krueger is a pretty cool addition, but my question is . . .Will there be additional skins that tag along with him for other fighters? This has occurred with every DLC fighter thus far, but there has yet to be any scuttlebutt on Fred's additional skins. Anyone heard a crumb of news about this?

I heard something about a mask-less Sub Zero. Not sure if it's true or not!

What Ed said in his latest interview was no different than what was discussed previously: they have four planned characters to be released in the summer, and current DLC sales will dictate future DLC plans.

If you all want more DLC, then support NRS by giving these characters a chance.

Be vocal; set up Twitter accounts and voice your opinions to the team. Discuss DLC in this thread-- seriously, this sticky gets around two posts per week while topic starters in this community continue to ignore it.

I've sent a link to the old DLC chart to NRS via Twitter several times since the game was released. I'm sure NRS has been aware of our desires, and I would like to continue in hopes of having an influence on the team's plans (regardless of how small that influence might be). Oh, no. I was not just referring to Fred. It seems that the new fighters have no alternate outfits, and we cannot view them in the Necropolis. I am, as well, hoping for a maskless SZ, but I would love to see Robo smoke!

yeah robo smoke would be good but the character i want is havik, i thought he was great in deception.

Cyber smoke (with the chest harpoon), Chameleon, Cyber Reptile, and another new fighter. I don't know where this love of Tanya came from, but I didn't care for her at all. That's just me. She has a huge number of fans, I see. To each his own.

Expect this for the next batch.

It is so stupid that Freddy Krueger is the next DLC, Freddy is not even part of MK in any way. there are so many other people who would be better DLC and who are in MK. Like... Reiko, Fujin, Shinnok, Jarek, Ashrah, Drahmin, Taven, Blaze, Kira, Daegon, Goro, or Shao Kahn. And if you are trying to bring in some one new to MK. The DLC should have been Kratos from God of War, that would be a lot better than garbage Freddy.

Kratos is already there, unless you have a 360. Truth is, the developers can never make everyone happy. The game could have everything under the sun in it, and someone would complain. Not just MK, but games in general. Being a Castlevania nut, I see it every day with those who want so much out of 1 game. I was blown away at how some players want and want and want. It's okay to want, but it's also okay to accept the game for what it is, and with DLC, fighters can be added periodically as long as the creators see the need. I like the MK we've been given. I'm not too crazy about DLC being used to make more $$ when these pieces, fighters, scenarios, etc., could have easily fit on the game disc. It makes me wonder if the product we bought wal left "unfinished" for a reason? You bet!

I actually think Freddy Krueger in the MK universe is awesome!
He fits perfectly into the world, and definitley can hold his own against the current combatants.
As a PS3 owner, if anything, I felt like Kratos didnt feel right, but thats just my opinion.

If we had to choose more DLC characters, this would be my take.

Mavado. ( Love the Black Dragon concept, warring factions idea is a great idea )
Cyber Smoke ( Instant Classic. Maybe, if introduced, players would have to " find him" before he becomes playable, a'la MK2)
Hotaru
Havik ( By far two of the coolest newer characters MK has introduced. Hotaru stands for complet order and obedience, while Havik espouses order and creats chaos. Definite win.)

As a final Character, would love to see Jason Vorhees in there. Yet another one of horror's most reconizable figures, and a Freddy Vs. Jason match would be epic.

Great point. We cannot view the DLC characters in the Necropolis, and the only way to view their bios is to select them manually. ( Once in the Necropolis, select a character, then goto Player Select.)
We dont get to see their endings, even if we already earned it.

Does anyone know if this is going to be corrected?
