I think Robot Smoke should be a DLC skin for Smoke, with a different voice. like Cyrax and Sektor. Robot Smoke probably doesn't need new animations, unlike Human Cyrax, so it should be even easier to do this. Plus, MK did this idea with Reptile already in Challenge Tower!

I also think that new characters could come in the form of other unplayable/underrated characters, like Hornbuckle, Tremor, Belokk, and others

Rain seems to be on high demand! I would love to play as Rain, and I think Fujin could be another good choice for DLC. they both have really cool moves

So...I was snooping around MK wiki, and came across a complete rendition of the Kenshi DLC artwork (from Gamepro.)

It looks...questionable, though. I'm going to assume it's fake, for now. If it's legitimate, he has a white dragon on his right shin guard, and a white circle on his right kneecap....

that was from the magazine article, stating that Kenshi was DLC, which has been out for a while. back when we thought Kintaro was DLC. regardless, Kenshi does look cool. when he comes out is another question...

Does anyone have ANY info on when Skarlet should be released? I'm talking rumors, other sites, anything. I'm excited for her, but Boon keeps giving out non-specific dates and it's kinda making me madz!! I appreciate it!

I have the GamePro magazine where he's cut off at the thigh.
Like I said, this version I found on the MK Wiki looks quite iffy. Everything from the thigh-up is identical to the article's artwork, but I'm suspicious of the rest.

It looks odd to me as he has, like, a dust cloud around his legs....it's peculiar. However, in the bottom-left it has the whole Trademark Warner Bros. crap.

What's also interesting to note about this is, that if the artwork is accurate, he has a red European-style dragon on his sash (obviously), and a white Asian (from what I can see) dragon on his right shin guard. Guess he really likes dragons...

And I doubt he'll be affected by Sonya's Kiss move, but I'm sure he'll still have to be affected by Stryker's X-Ray. Either they'll tweak the first move slightly just for him (which I doubt) or he'll just be "blinded" like the rest. I think the latter is more likely.

Edit: Okay, so I found out where this artwork came from, and for now, I guess I'll assume it's legitimate.

There's an artist named Marco Nelor, who worked with NRS for the last two months of development. On his blog (no scans present!!), the full Kenshi concept in good quality (though I'm still puzzled as to why there's a dirt cloud around his legs), artwork from Baraka and Smoke's endings, as well as a picture of Sheeva, are shown. Here's another of Baraka.

It's all his work, apparently.


Also on his blog, you can find a few pieces of Skarlet artwork (one piece from her ending, and a cartoonish one of her striking a pose with her swords, and major ass-cleavage, might I add!)

No, I agree. Like I said, with Cyber Sub-Zero around, Cyber Smoke would be redundant. I would rather see the fourth DLC slot reserved for another character. Cyber Smoke could be left as an alternate costume down the road.

Anyway, congratulations to all of you Rain fans. I'm really looking forward to seeing how he and Kenshi play.



Haven't added anything since the last update, other than combining the "New Character" column with Skarlet, Tremor, Hornbuckle, Belokk, etc. It has cleaned up the chart significantly, and now it should be clear why Skarlet is part of the summer DLC releases.

I wouldnt mind seeing the old MK3 uppercut and smash into a new screen, that game play always kept it interesting as the kombat unfolds...

The story started expanding in a good direction during the Deadly Alliance and then started getting a little bit over board in my small opinion, but to each his own, i will still follow it threw my days as a hard core MK fan sense the arcade days.

The Nethership arena is stunning, so please bring that back. More retro outfits and fatalities. I know this is a lot to ask of them, but I think it is possible. I understand that discs can only hold so much, and in the past expectations for games were unrealistic. Fans always wanted and even expected everything on one game. I still hold to the reality that there is a limit to every game's content, including MK, and even I would love to see a roster in this new MK like the one we saw in MKA. That game was wonderful, and some day I hope to see a newer version. For now, I am happy with this new game. The paying for the Klassic Kostumes was a cheap shot, but I think it should be one of many Klassic Paks for old school stuff.

Okay, so if you pause the video on the homepage, you will see the silhouettes of the three "mystery fighters." Well two of them are named, Kenshi and Rain. I am so happy Rain made the first cut! Anyway, the third unnamed silhouette appears to be a male fighter, and I believe it is Shinok.

When it comes to the future I would love to see many fighters: Tremor, Tanya, Hornbuckle , etc, etc.

p.s Boon confirmed Chameleon wouldn't appear in another MK game :(

I think I read a tweet that Ed Boon posted saying he highly doubted Tremor making it into the game. I do like the idea of Hornbuckle as long as they do an original character based off of the fan made backstory I just don't want a Lui Kang palette swap.

Tanya is a good possibility but as I looked over the complete roster of MK:A only blaze would have been around during the timeline (as if Kenshi was though.(not complaining.) I think Reiko has a good chance as well as Fujin.

I can also see blaze if his character got a redesign (no generic male covered in flames.) and an updated revamped move list.( not just fireball and other peoples specials.) Maybe even a deeper look into Blazes creation.

Then again I'm all for a new Nether Realms Creation just to see what they come up with.

P.S. I want playable Bosses not online but just to add to the roster.

I would like for another game's main character to become available for Xbox 360 DLC like Kratos from God of War was automatic for PS3 or the Star Wars characters were featured in Soul Cailbur IV.


But even more so, I would liek to see Ed Boon create a new character and surprise us such as the new introductions in games like MKII with Reptile and such
