I don't mind Johnny being a comic relief character but does he have to be so lame as well? Anyone with a tattoo of their own name on their chest should be shot. I wish Johnny could be amusing but still kind of cool like he was in the first movie.

I haven't liked Johnny Cage for over decade now anyway so it doesn't really bother me anyway.

I hate that all the female characters so far seem to have identical bodies. I understand kitana and Mileena because they're twins, but the new screenshots show that even Kitana and Sonya have the same bodies. They are all the same height, have the same breast size, and the same muscle tone; the only difference between them is their heads and clothes. Also, they all wear stilettos, which doesn't even make sense for Sonya.

And subzero sounds like gordon brown... why not have the old ninja costumes? It looked more mature or atleast make them look more disciplined assasins (scorpion and subzero), not big like sumo wrestlers, the stance is crap...

although the game looks awesome and fun, it doesn't seem like the good old mortal kombat, it's as if the originality has gone... it's more cuter than it is brutal, and the xray hing is comedy..what the hell... ohhhh IM SO GOBSMACKED BY THE RIBS BREAKING ....WHICH LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF THE CHILDREN BOOK 'FUNNYBONES'....

Wait what? How does any of this look cute? This is the darkest, bloodiest, and goriest MK ever. The blood actually looks really and it splatters and moves the same as real blood. I don't know why you say MK1-4 is the darkest. The whole red costumes and purple pants kind of take away from the darkness. I know this is the rant thread and all, but your reasoning on this game being like a "kids book" isn't justified.

yeah i agree with the stances not being right. the blood is there you just cant see it because it doesnt splash all over the place like in the old games. i wish they would change that but i guess they are trying for a more realisitc approach. and realistic is good for mk but some things should be left in fantasy land and the blood splatter is one.

sub's voice is messed up but hopefully we wont have to listen to much talking. the ninja costumes for the most part dont really look different to me. just some fancy stuff added, but the overall design is still the same.

at first i heard some epic style msic but if you watch the living video it has the old music back which is great!!

the xrays do look kind of awkard. because the bones look like they are bending not breaking. the xray moves is a old concept and im not to fund of it. its like a gimmick. im tired of mk always having gimmicks in there game.

Your ninja complaint, and yes I'll be technical with this, these characters are not ninjas. Sub-Zero isn't a ninja, Ermac, Rain, Noob... the only one is Scorpion and I see a ninja in what he's got.

i strongly recommend for new warriors in MK9, especially with oriental backgroud japan or china, 4 is good not DLC. this make MK9 perfect, remember, MK9 is not made only for you old fans, it should attract more people who never played MK before, so please make some new faces, replace the old unpopulared ones such as sindel kabal jade and sheeva. and i am confident in NetherRealm' s imagination that they can make more new cooler warriors. if all 26 warriors is just a remake of MK123, then MK9 is a failure

...if you think Sindel, Jade and Kabal are unpopular, you haven't been around the community for long...

i dont know if this qualifies as a rant but i did read that theyre adding the Krypt into this game as well. Recently i started playing Mk Deception just to get my mk fix until mk9 comes out. I hadnt played it in years so i went to the krypt and saw i had a ton of cash so i decided to see what i could buy. anyways the point is they need to come up with some system that doesnt make you look at every freaking krypt trying to find which ones you havent bought yet. There are literally freaking hundreds of them.

In mk9 they should either make the graves go into the ground out of sight or have an option to make all the krypts you havent bought come together in a group. I looked at about 400 krypts just to find i only had onyx coin krypts left to buy and i had no onyx coins!

What kinda pissed me off in MK games is: As Scorpion, FINISH HIM, "Get over here!" *press down+high punch* nothing happens, enemy falls to the floor. WTF lame!

The reason they fall to the ground is because it hurts their last tiny bit heath when you hit them with the spear.

To be honest, he's taking this way to personal. He looks very angry, and I'm sure he's not happy. I think he should either relax... or stop putting so much time and effort into the game. It's just a game! There's no need to be so stressed over it. There's more important things in life than a game. Believe me, I've been a former WoW-addict, so I know what I'm talking about. The moment you're getting this upset over a game, it's time to take a step back and look at what it's doing to you.

Even though I have lots of love for Mileena, her X-Ray doesn't do her justice in my opinion. Hopefully her current one is just a placeholder. Using her sai during her X-Ray seems more appropriate.

I finally have a valid rant! Those asshats from the midway forums are making the new MK forums intolerable. All they do is get in flame wars, it's practically what they live for. It's a sad day if people like that have any influence over a MK title =/
