The thing is, the online play really isn't even the highlight of the game. The gameplay is what really caught my eye. If someone really doesn't like the way online plays, just make some real friends and play some versus matches.

I don't think the lag isn't any worst than what is found in DOA4. Yes, it is heavily noticeable, but not to the point where it makes the game completely unplayable. Given players do need to adjust to it, and players really shouldn't have too. We all know it's an issue in some form with what like 80%+ of games that have an online component to begin with, so why is everyone acting all surprised? Games shouldn't be sole judged on their online component, and MK9 holds it's own even without online play.

My only real complain with the lag is when moving between menus in online, and King of the Hill particularly.

This is good news. This is by far the best MK game to date and it would be a real shame if sales numbers didn't reflect that.

Online play isn't all that bad to me. I don't get desyncs hardly anymore. The reason why is because I caved in and deleted my pre order classic skin. It's not really a big blow to me because I don't really use Mileena anyway. Plus lag isn't much an issue to me for reasons I don't know, I guess I have a really good connection. My only big gripe is that they only focused on the ninjas with the classic skins. Yes I know a lot of the other characters looks look very very similar to their classic costumes (like Stryker, Kabal and Raiden), but they have had other costumes or could get brand new costumes. I absolutely love Freddy though he's a bit overpowered in the right hands. I can do 47% damage with him without the x ray with hardly any effort, which is saying much because I struggle to go over 30% with anyone else in a normal combo. Other than that I love everything about this game

This is only the beginning for MK, it has already paid its dividends to Warner Bros. and to the fans, MK10 is a virtual certainty, issues aside, this is MK's homecoming, we can all rejoice, MK has a bright future ahead of it.

considering online gameplay is becoming more and more widely used (to the point where I cant even play multiplayer need for speed without being online) I would say its a big issue one that remain unfixed . But hopefully this means they'll attend to the issue .

Good Job NRS. It means that good games, and good ideas, actually do make a good amount of money.

They created the best MK game ever, as far as I'm concerned. Great gameplay, tons of content, a robust story, tons and tons and tons of secrets, unlockables, easter eggs, and fan service. Quality and quantity mixed together. I couldn't ask for more... well, Sareena as DLC would be nice, but I'm thrilled that MK is back and better than ever. They deserve all the success they get.

For all the hard work put into this game, I'm happy they're reaping the awards for it. In that regard, well done to the staff of NRS for their efforts and I thank them for a game I'd personally give 9/10.

The only thing that literally drives me insane though is the online issues KITANA mentioned. It does get annoying and considering the game's been out since April, I would have thought most of the online issues would be fixed by now. If they could sort that out, they'd have the best MK game they've had since MK2.

Comming from a street fighter fan you should know that the online wasnt even that great until the EXPANSION super street fighter 4. They made a whole new game for it. Im not bashing street fighter or capcom I love both but your being ridiculous here.

This is their first attempt at a competitive fighting game, the game hasnt been out for that long. Also ono is one money hungry mother fucker, not a bad thing hes a great producer but its common knowledge.


So in conclusion FUCK YOU NRS your online isnt at the level of capcom (yet) games you dumb fucks! Fuck all those extra features you gave me, this game aint worth shit if the online isnt equal to offline.
