Sure sometimes you could request what you want, but towards day 2, there werent too many requests allowed because of the line being long as hell.

i had no prob getting a stick every time, they would make me wait to they were available, don't know what your issue was. i played over 40 matches over the 2 days, don't know where you were.

actually i came here cause the players on this site have a certain rep, and when i heard mko players were at pax, i had to see what they were going to say about the game. and they came through with flying colors. enjoy playing the online , where none of the top players will be playing.

Hey, I'm an over 30 gamer, played MK1 in the arcades, yadda, yadda...I get it. Getting to tourney's like EVO isn't always an option. Online isn't ideal, but it's the widest option for most of us. Good players are still good online.

I happen to make arcade sticks better than I play on 'em, but working on getting back into arcade stick play...so I get your preference for stick, but trying to call out pad players is weak. Talking shit on people that you haven't even played is weaker. We're all fans, here for a common reason...elitist, old-school talk is just sad.

Well maybe because I diddnt bug and say "stick only" every time. I was more excited having travelled 13 hours just to get there. And I have both systems and 2 TE's ordered so Il get it all when release comes, regardless. I was still in the "wow im actually here playing this" as it was my first big event. was Riding the excitement.

Ended up on the sticks alot, i guess omething about the formula makes the matches quicker? because about 50% of my random line matches were on thos 2 machines.

online play is trash, in the world of figthing games, online does not exist.

1) Great way to pigeonhole yourself and limit your exposure to all the genre has to offer.

2) You've never played GGPO if you think there isn't decent netcode out there. Still maybe not as ideal as side-by-side but it's certainly serviceable.

3) Stop being a douchebag.

It's sad some people lose sight of that. Competition is great, and if you are good, you should compete. But at the end of the day, it is just a game. Just a video game. Period. And no matter how serious you act over it, nothings going to change the fact that it is just a game, and seriously not that important.
