I can see where you would get that idea. However, that victim has an arm-band on his right arm (and possibly his left) and we're all aware that neither Kratos nor Quan Chi wear arm-bands. This leads me to believe it's nothing more than a prop/extra/nobody. MYTH BUSTED

Sonya's X-Ray indeed is one of the best so far, pays homage to her and it's pretty cool. The little gameplay showed of her, looks like Sonya is pretty fast and has very cool combo-hits combinations, very sexy kicks !

Goro's Lair seems as one of the most well-built and detailed stage until now, very, very good in fact. Goro looks sinister in his throne watching the fight, maybe waiting to face the winner next ! hehe

i think i see frost in the backround of the first battle shown ( scorpion+sub zero) that might be what boon is talking about.

At 2:38 you can clearly see Kano in an outfit very similar to his MKvsDC suit. He is hunched over with his hands on the bars of a cage making a shaking motion like he is trying to escape. Pause it in HD at 2:38, and adjust your brightness to see the bars and Kano more clearly.

I'm pretty positive it's not Kano. I can see the resemblance, but even in HD it's too dark and too blurry to distinguish well enough to tell if it's Kano. To me, I see a hunched over figure, like an Oni from Shaolin Monks, which are also located in Goro's Lair behinf bars in that game. They have glowing yellow eyes, which you can also see in the video, but I think you're wanting to see red, so you're seeing red. I've taken screen caps and brightened them, messed with levels and contrast, and it just doesn't look like a human posture.

All logic makes Oni the likely suspect, as they were in the original Goro's lair, and they were further fleshed out in Shaolin Monks. They are likely in the bg of this one as well, behind those bars. I see no reason why an MK fighter would be there.

I really think it's just a case of us wanting to see a character we know, rather than actually seeing them.

When I brightened the capture, I can clearly see the exact same boots, pants, and kneepads of MKvsDC Kano. It is just as likely that a MK fighter would be locked up here as it is that he/she would be chained in Kahn's arena.

Show me the exact capture you're talking about. I've done the same, and I can't make out anything of the sort. The red part that you're perceiving as his eye, isn't an eye at all. It's just an ember from the fire, there's multiple of the them right above the flames.

No, I wasn't impressed with it either. It wasn't fluid and it did lack the"wow" factor that you mentioned. It was a bit too gimmicky and obviously the glitch needs to be fixed.

It's not terrible but I just wasn't blown away by it.

I think the corpse is actually one of the Oni. I think the upper body looks far too bulky to be Quan Chi.

As far as the character reveal, I've watched the video a few times and I have no clue. My guess is that Boon is completely yanking our chains.

Great video of gameplay though...I too love the Sonya X-ray (probably not as much as Queve ). My only worry at this point is that they're going to completely finish the game well before April 19th and just start leaking everything. I love getting all the newest info, but I do want a lot of surprises when I actually get the game. NRS appears to really be doing a great job with this game. I think it has everything to do with the fact that they have not been under serious time restraints for this game.

It's beyond what I expected. And her gameplay looks great too, very nice fluid combos.

I'm definitely gonna enjoy playing as her. It looks like she's turning out to be way better than she was in MKDC!

Totally fucking EPIC X-Ray! She's got my favorite of them so far. The legs and the flipping and the kicking... It suits her PERFECTLY! She practically carves her name all over the victim's fucking face when she does it!

If the few moves I've seen from her so far are THIS hot, I can only imagine how MIND-BLOWING the rest of her specials and finishers will be!

On another note, I do see the "Kano" in the darkness, but as it's been said, it's possible we're just seeing what we wanna see, because it is pretty much indistinguishable.

I have looked at this video five times today. Thus I have come to a conclusion; There is no hidden character. Either that or it is hidden really well. If I had to say there was a character at all in the preview, I would say that the person seen in Goro's lair is Kano. The person impaled in the Pit however, is probably not Quan Chi.

First off, I just wanted to point out something I noticed the first time I watched the vid and something I'm not sure y, and how, anyone else has mentioned yet or discussing.

I believe someone else mentioned it in earlier post, maybe page 5 or so, but no one ese responded or seemed to notice his post, which was really bothering me....lol

Anyways, in the early scene of scorpion fighting another character via their silouettes on the wall you can distinctively see a tail on the second character strongly resembling that of motaro in his bi-pedal form???
