You do realize MK is owned by Warner Bros. now right? WB is made of money, they aren't going to "cut labor costs" by having Ed Boon being forced to make a website.

Not necessarily, believe me big companies are not always generous with their labors and that might be one of their biggest profits, by decreasing labors costs and increasing sales. Instead, they usually don't mind if a labor resigns because they know someone else will replace him. So, it's possible that they have few to many labors but with low to average salaries >>>> labors' low motivation >>>> labors' laziness. And some labors are not MK fans, they just work for the sake of money which makes them even less motivated to work overtime or/and achieve their tasks on time.

A company's reputation and success is something and labors' costs and treatment is something else. Ed Boon and few other members are earning well but not necessarily their teams.

I'm talking from business aspect (a course I took at University) and from my own/friends/others experience. I'll also post you some articles about this issue:

Sorry off the subject for a second. Yooo that fuckin picture of Sindel is sick! U did dat?

i agree. that avatar pic of sindel is hot as hell!

I third that. wink

I know right? Not to be all off subject, but props to whoever the artist is.wink

I think you can find the original art here: http://disantt.deviantart.com/art/Sindel-142946721

About the topic... I think all has been said. Let's them try to fix it... but I think at this point the only thing they could do to satisfy the fans is making all 7 characters available on that thing... and then tomorrow have this new "character+arena" that has been announced.

True this. Payscale is the largest component, but it's not the only thing that makes a happy employee. Happy employees are producing employees, and they don't have to necessarily be paid top dollar to be so, a lot of times it's the actual environment of the company. Companies such as those that make "The Best 100 Places to Work" type of list typically aren't paying the best wages, but employees are happiest there because they combine a decent wage with a great environment (many times you will find these companies on an upward trend, and many on the Fortune 500).

In this case, though, the problem may be attitude. The team has been force-fed this doctrine of "get a game out a year no matter what" attitude for years, and have pushed out bottom of the barrel crap (MK Advance, MK Special Forces) for years now. I'm not sure that just switching companies is going to switch years of "screw it, let's just get it done" thinking.

This situation, to me, is just indicitive of two things: One, MK has been doing stuff like this to its fans for years (incomplete games, turning the blind eye to problems, etc), and Two, things are not going to change.

Sometimes it's pretty good. Sometimes, it just sucks to be an MK fan. I wouldn't be expecting too much change from here on out.

The attitude is also an important element. But getting an MK done in a specific time no matter what is somehow comprehensive since every game company wants to compete with the others. That's why it's very important for the employee to be an MK fan. If it was me, well I'll do anything to get employed with MK team, even with a low salary.
