Oh Christ, Luke from TMK is gonna have a Goddamn mental flipout when he see's that WB revealed something to a huge reputable magazine rather than his wimpy site. World, take cover.
Other than that, Ermac looks solid. His detail is astounding. Can't wait to see footage of him in action.
December is a good month to be an MK fan, people!!

Yeah, I don't see Zombie Liu either. I see a corpse-ish guy you guys could be referring to, but he's clearly not Liu. He doesn't have the chained wristbands and he's bald.

Ermac looks great! I always liked his look from Deception. It suits me fine if they aren't going for the "Klassic" ninja look. I wish they would though. I'm not saying bring back palette swaps, I think they should have individual character models of course. I miss the real ninja look though. Especially when it comes to Scorpion, I just don't don't care for his outfits in th newer Mortal Kombats. Especially this one. It's just too damn busy. He'd look much better in a simple, yellow and black ninja costume IMO.

I've been against Scorpion's MK9 costume since we saw it. Sub-Zero looks great though IMO, and Ermac doesn't even HAVE a classic look, so I dunno where you'd go there. I mean, the "three squares" outfits from UMK3 were kinda hideous. I'm glad Deception has become his standard.
As for Reptile, I'd have gone with Shaolin Monks. It's still very loyal to the classic ninja style, but the wrappings and scales fit his character better than either a plate-mask or the ol' skin-disguise. Besides, I always thought the skin-disguise should actually be him using his chameleonic powers to turn his scales peach.

Not sure how I feel about the silver tiles on his chest, but overall I'd say this is the best he's ever looked.
Still want a story explanation on the bandages, though.

A hive-mind wouldn't want to have a single face, so he hides his appearance from himself and others to perserve his "We are multiple people" self-image?

Aculeus' Ermac concept was the best.

But wouldn't a mask be more efficient? Using bandages seems excessive.

It's not a bandage, it's a leather strap.
It's more like he's wearing a turban for his whole face, which goes with his vaguely Arabic mystic image.

Razor, I figured you'd be the guy to ask:
Is Ermac canonically a man? I know he has a masculine body and all, but wouldn't he technically be sexless since souls don't have reproductive organs and what-not?
