Anyway, this is my list:

1) MK SHAOLIN MONKS (the render): Her best



Her in-game model was just as basic and bland as everyone else (due to the bad graphics), but, my goodness that render of hers is absolutely gorgeous.

This concept of Kitana is her most beautiful and awesome look.

I absolutely adore the make up in her eyes, the awesome corset-like swimsuit and those freaking killer heels (just look at that!). The steel fans are atrocious, but, that costume is by far her best. Even the bun looks very stylish.

She looks gorgeous, but, she also happens to look badass. It would had been PERFECT had she had that beautiful long hair from MKDA...

2) MKDA ALTERANTE: Awesome



Both her primary and her alternate are very nice. They are not really that special, but, for what they represent (a nod to her classic MK2 and MKU outfits) they are nice.

I find her alternate being my favorite of the two (why the hell wasn't that blue?) because her primary is almost an exact copy of her MKU and MK Gold costume and that's gotten very boring already.

But, what made this look a definite winner for me is the hair. The ridiculously long pony-tail made me go WOW when I first saw it.

I was in love. Seriously.

I will never forget the first picture I saw of her in her alternate costume. She was high kicking Johnny Cage in the portal arena with that awesome super long hair of hers flying around everywhere. Fantastic.

3) MK GOLD + MKULT (and MKDA primary, I guess): Very nice



They are essentially the same costume in every single tiny aspect and detail. However, I do prefer her MK Gold look is because I liked the idea of finally seeing Kitana un-masked.

I think this costume design is nice, but, to be honest, we've seen her in it sooo much that I find it very boring by now.

4) MK2: Cool



It's a nice costume that was great back then. Best thing of it being the headband, the loose hair, and her freaking amazing steel fans.

5) MK 2011: Bad



Unlike all the other ones I mentioned, I actually do think of this one as a bad costume and a bad design.

It doesn't feel appropriate for the "MK2 Kitana", but, it seems to fit the post "MKGold Kitana" for many people for different reasons, so, whatever.

The hair is atrocious, the steel fans are ugly, and the costume design itself is very uninspired, uncreative, and far from being original. It's a mediocre mixture of MKD Mileena + MKD Jade at best.

And, ironically, I think she is wearing less than Mileena! The only highlight of this uninspired design is the very nice details/drawing in the texture of the outfit. I like those (oh! and probably her earrings and head band and definitely those bangs).

Don't get me wrong, her model is beautiful. She looks very pretty, but, the costume is definitely not her best. Still, it is a bit better than:

6) MKvsDC: Horrible



Her absolute worst, imo.

The "insect-like" features of the bathing suit, the really ugly mask, the "fatness" of her cheeks and face, the really ugly looking hair, and those stupid looking ribbons make this the worst Kitana look (and don't forget those crazy high eyes).

Oh, I forgot to mention that it looks like she has a big penis:

Why do we think on such a low level when their are things to seek. There are worlds and worlds to explore dimensions to create and we still think 2 dimensional when there can be as much dimensions as we want. Its all in the unexplored regions of your brains. Thats where innovation and advancement is. We all have it but we must find it.

I've never been a fan of Kitana but her look in the new game is great and her best ever IMO

Face-wise, I like her best when she looks vaguely Latina/Talisa Soto-esque with the big lips and heavy eyelashes.

I also prefer her hair in a bun but with bangs like in MKSM over all of the others, particularly the newer looks where it's so long it goes past her ass. I can live with it when it's a multi-segmented ponytail like in DA though, because all those hair ties evoke the bun in a way.
But all this said, I've never really, truly liked any costume Kitana's ever worn before except MKSM's. I marked DA higher because of the face and design of the fans.

I like how you take the least slutty and most clothed thing she's ever worn (well, maybe short of MK2, but that was just a generic, featureless one piece swimsuit) and say THAT is the one that looks like she worked a street corner.

Really? I think its one of her best. She looks classy and its a slightly different approach from the overused "ninja swim suit". Also, all the others are more "street corner" like compared to this one.

Here's a question: In the pic of MK9 Kitana in the first post, did you edit her nipples to poke out like that? Because they damn sure aren't visible on the officially released version of that picture.

I'll definitely add it, didn't even dawn on me until you mentioned it and then I was too busy adding photos. I guess where I disagree is the face ... I must admit I look at the face first. In the pic I uploaded of Kitana's primary of MKDA I was in shock. I never wanted to say anything negative about my favorite character; however, I looked at her face and I wanted to have a heart to heart with her explaining why she should wear her mask. lol I loved her hair, her fans, but that face looked like a drag queen gone horribly wrong.

I love the SM look as well actually, but then someone on this board years back when it was first released mentioned her fucked up leg on the right. It really sadden me to think someone that talented in art and design could really not look at his own work and say "I gotta fix that". Everytime I look at that pic, it's the first thing I stare at now ... (damn that mofo who brought it up). lol

The reason I like the MKvsDC appearance so much was her Vs. Battle and select screen image, she looked so young and pretty; however, I will admit that in the image you posted she does look like she got junk going on in the front, lol.

LMAO, I'm gay so female nipples don't matter to me none! I just selected the first image I found cause I was in a hurry to get pics posted. Made me laugh though cause I didn't notice until I checked it out after reading your post. I guess there are some who still didn't think she looked slutty enough.

-Very unique take on Kitana imo. She's beautiful, the fans have grown on me, and her hair is great. I see NRS was trying to get away from the spandex/leotard look, and this is very awesome Take on Kitana.

2. MKDA main outfit
- I love her hair and how her outfit was revamped. Everything about this look is amazing to me

3. MK2
- Gotta love the original look. It's simple, yet effective. It's the look that made me like her in the first place

4. MKSM ingame
-she was pretty in game. I agree with razor that I like her bangs. She wasn't that pretty in her render imo. Looked like grandma Kitana with that uninspired bun.

5. MKGold
- Her face was really pretty in this one, that's why it beats out other ugly bun looks lol

6. UMK3
- Thank god Becky Gable is pretty enough to pull of that bun *really, me and the bun are rivals like Mileena and Kitana*. I like the costume, hate the hair.

7. MKvDC
- Not really a fan. I like the idea of her hair, it just wasn't executed well. Costume's whack.

8. MKSM render
- FUGLY. I don't like the costume, especially the boots, the hair is lame and she's not really that pretty.

9. MKDA alternate
- Worst Kitana design ever. I get that they were trying to make her more royal and elegant looking, didn't work for me. MK9 pulled that idea off WAY better.

THANK YOU! I don't understand how they don't see her fucked up face. People have diffrent opinions on what sexy is ... no denying that; however, I'm glad after all these years, Kitana finally looks sexy to me in MK 2011!

I always hated the bun.

1. MK 2011 - Really beautiful, and perfect for Kitana
2. MK 4 - Nice 3d transition from her MKT costume
3. MK2 - simple yet still effective
4. MK D - Better than her MK DA costume, but still pretty bad
5. MK DA - Probably the ugliest design of Kitana. She looks nothing like a princess.

Maybe it's just nostalgia (MK-Trilogy was my first MK), but I loved that look for the three of them. I think that was definitely the best representation of "Outworld female assassin"they've had. All three of them have diverged since then to become their own individual characters (which makes sense in the story), but for the three when they're all the same, i lovvvve UMK3....

I adore the crisscross across their chest, the mask, and I even love the bun! Why is everyone so opposed? It's functional, sensible. Would've looked nice with a fringe or something to frame their face but doesn't seem that distressing to me...

Oh well *shrug*

As for the rest, next I'd say Shaolin Monks.... the render of course. Intricate design, cool make up.

Though I don't like the laziness in the design, I have to say MK9 just because of how beauuuutiful she is. Obviously there's hair animation issues, but I love how womanly she looks, and she does look sexy, if a bit bland for such a mainstay.

Then throw in Deadly Alliance's blue-masked one... my version of it here in Australia had the purple one as her default and the blue as her alternate so I got confused reading everyone elses. I despised her boobs though. It's not that they were huge, it's that they were misshapen. Barf.
Just liked the concept behind it.

Next comes the purple DA one, that's an alternate for me. I get the concept but I hated the material on her legs and arms, hated that it was purple, and HATED the boots with a passion. The hair, like in the other is pretty cool, though :) And I do like the idea

MKGold I can't really judge as I never played that one. Looks nice enough though. I like her more... "ethnic" looks... I don't know what ethnicity it's most analogous to, but I liked that she's not strictly caucasian (i say ethnic in quotation marks 'cos i couldn't think of a better word). I'm all for the swimseat with the crossed straps as I've said so I do like this one

Next would be VS DC... I like the ponytail but notttt the ribbons, hate the mask, hate the render, hate the crotch, hate the sky blue, hate the blandyness.... It's literally a one piece without anything particularly intereting (like aforementioned trademark crossed strings)

And last is her original appearance. I get the limitations of the era so that's okay... And I like this one in her comic appearances (that Kitana and Mileena one shot for example).... but seriously... this looks HORRIBLE in game, and in the larger character ending pics. She looks atrocious. Dumpy, unflattering, uninspired. *Hisses*

Completely agree there, Kitana's best look so far is in MK 2011. Costume is perfect, hair is perfect, I have been waiting for them to let Kitana's hair out of the bun/ponytail forever and I aways thought Kitana would look good with a tiara and a bumpit. Her fans could improve, but everything else looks so awesome. There are a few small details I would change about her costume, the first being the criss cross on Kitana's top, they should get rid of it, or they should only have the bottom two crosses, the strings going all the way up is too much, the strings should also be white or grey, not black, to go with the rest of the accents on her costume. Her loin cloth should be longer, maybe front and back too. Her heels should be higher and a more feminine shape. Those are the only things that could be improved on this costume. Of course her hair animation, but that will be all good when the game is finished.


My second pick is the MKSM render




The bun should have some bangs, or it should be a pony tail, I dont like the grandma bun. But I really like how the costume updates her MK2 look, with putting some designs and stuff into her costume. The heels are great also, that is how I would like to see her heels in 2011. I hope Kitana's 2011 alternate will be similar to this.


Third is her MKDA primary


I like how this costume is a great update to the UMK3 look. Kitana should have gotten a new costume in MKGold. I was glad to see her costume got more attention in MKDA. I remember the concept art for this costume had little tassels on her belt, that would have made a nice touch if that little detail made it to the game. The heels were good, her hair was a long flowy ponytail which looked good too. This is Kitana's second best hairstyle, first being 2011.




I really liked her MKDA alternate costume too, I just hated that it was purple, I never used this costume, because it was purple. If this costume would have been blue it would be number 2 on this list.

I got love for her classic MK2 and UMK3 costumes, like I said, Kitana should have gotten a new costume in MKGold though. Her MKvsDC costume was horrible, easily her worst design ever.
