Nitara was okay but to add another Vampia is just lame, Nitara has now lost her newness and i am happy they are sticking with the characters from Mk1 to 3 because after MK4 the new characters were just horrible!

Mavado + Nitara's teeth = Epic new male vampire.

Mavado is a cool looking character, he just needs one tiny little tweak to make him cooler. Instead of tossing away characters, midway could turn this one into a sweeter character. With Hsu Hao gone and Mavado being apart o Nitara's clique it will rid the game of the useless Red Dragon and expand on their Vampire ideas.

I mean Mavado already has the damn trench coat and the dark look. He doesn't need wings, but a cool "Queen of the Damned" style flight drift would be a nice touch.

Nitara was an attempt to replace Mileena, in the first place. So, if Mileena is in the game, Nitara is useless.

I agree with you, Mavado is indeed a cool looking character, but he's just lame when you know he's almost a clone of Kabal. Giving him this kind of personality could be a great twist to the character!

Agreed! Its just so unecessary right now. First they have to clean up ALL of the storylines of all the characters we already have and maybe THEN can we introduce new characters.

However, if new characters are introduced, it should be "characters" that have appeared in previous games, but were never playable. Like a shadow priest and a masked guard. That'd be more than enough IMO

I don't think "male vampire" will appera in the game. I'd say it's not time and place for such character.

However if Nitara will appear in the next MK games - that would be awesome. She was one of the best newcomers to the series and I really want to know more about her and Vaeterneus realm.

Hell no it will just be a wasted character spot and the game developers in mkda probably knew that! One vampire is good enough but I hope Nitara makes it in the new game because she is different from the other ninja/assassin characters.

I never dreamed "going back in time" would make everyone go back to hating anything after Mk3. So sickening. We're never going to get any progression if the team listens to people on this board.

yes i remember and i replied in another thread about him too in which i said i only hope he and nitara are in if they include a lychan as well. Then i said i wasn't sure how i felt about a vampire being in the mk universe. But then again we did have a zombie, and meat stick, and dragon so......but really lets stop it there, there's no need for aliens to eventually be coming down to fight unless their abducting stryker and sheeva for experiments...

I hate male vampires. In all forms of fiction. Everyone who ever plays one does it like they're actually playing a stereotype of a gay man, all feminine and flamboyant. Even before Twilight, they've been poorly written romance novel fodder and little else, writers and actors have been turning bloodsuckers into a fetish since the days of Jesus riding dinosaurs.

The only exception seems to be grotesque monster versions of Dracula like Nosferatu, and MK already has a Nosferatu-inspired character. His name is Baraka.

And MK's vampire race isn't all that interesting. The only thing I like about Nitara is that she has wings and dresses a bit like a pirate in her primary costume. Her storyline is completely hollow and pointless and I don't see any way of making it better, they're just yet another race who were merged by Kahn and want to be free, just like the Edenians and Reptile.

I will give MK credit for having never gone down the Underworld/Vampire: The Masquerade road and having vampires dress and act like they all live in a brothel in 1700's Britain for no good goddamn reason. (Which reminds me. Everyone who's ever called a werewolf a "lycan" needs to be choked to death. Shortening "Lycanthropy" into a cutesy nickname does NOT sound clever or stylish or modern. It just sounds like you're trying not to call them what they are. A werewolf is a fucking werewolf.)

The only thing I liked about Nitara was her alternate costume. She looked like she was trying out for KISS.

It is so sad, that people don't give new characters a chance. It is sad that we'll always be having the same characters over and over because people don't give the new characters a chance.

Nitara is my favorite character, I think her potential would be great if people would give her a chance. After MK3 she is one of the most interesting characters, too bad people don't like her because she's a vampire.
