This supports my idea that they could make an animated show/movie for the MK games and save us the "real life" torture of people trying to act and be what we know and love in the game.

SO someone had posted that there are some people on the side of "good" after Raiden sends the message back to himself. I'm confused as to "when" we are......it feels very MK1 - 2 with JAX being captured but then ....theres Nightwolf....he shouldn't be there.....Quan Chi is there....why.......when are we when Raiden receives the message???

Anyway there is a FEMALE ninja on the side of good next to the guy i ASSUME is Human Smoke could she be Khameleon? She is a female Ninja in classic MK3 garb and is gray......help?

Why would Sub be on the "good guy" side if he is the original Sub Zero??
I guess if Scorpion is gonna stand on the bad guy side then by default Subby would go to the "good" side.....but why would they let him stand with them......IDK there are some things I dont get.

I like how this would have you believe Sonya and Kung Lao have never changed their clothes in 15 years.
I know, I know, they'd have to have made their MKA outfits as alts in the game to have them in this cutscene and that's extra work they didn't feel like going to the trouble of. I just think it's amusing looking.

Yeah, I thought the exact same thing. At least they got the placement of the last few characters and their deaths right, so it shows they were paying attention.

Didn't someone say that Hector said there was over 2 hours of CGI content not counting the in engine stuff? it looks like all the cut scenes are in engine, I was hoping for some high quality CGI cinematics as well. I hope there are some in there. Also and not to complain but Johnny's alt looks like crap lol, it's all just a texture, the jacket doesn't seperate from the shirt at all it seems, that's kind of a last gen way of doing that IMO, now a days you expect to see seperations in the clothing and physics applied to the seperate pieces, especially in a fighting game.

yeah lets go with He and Onaga we're kinda away and battled each other and Kahn FINALLY won....when he came back there were maybe a handful of people left alive and he quickly killed them having not had to battle through most of it and then put the smack down on Raiden.

It is weird how they used their current costumes and apparently didn't change their outfits or age in the approximately 10-15 years between MK1 and Armageddon.

Also, I hope we can beat the crap out of Argus in the next game. This is all his fault.

After taven killed blaze a handfull were alive but no shao kahn yet, so taven fled and the fighters kept on killing eachother then shao kahn arrived and fought the remainder, raiden and shao khan were left and shao khan absorbed the essense from blaze atop of the pyrimad and fought raiden.

Yeah so if you listen to what one of the guys says during the YouTube live broadcast, he states NUMEROUS TIMES that he has NO IDEA about the MK Lore. I wonder how many of the developers have no idea about out lore and that is why we have us going back to as they said in the video "the first MK game/tournament" and why we have people that dont belong like Quan Chi, Kitana, Jade, Khameleon(I'm guessing thats her on the good guys side), Human Cyrax, Human Sektor, Nightwolf......all of these people are MK2 or later and probably should not be around at this INITIAL stage in story mode.

Ah well.

It is kinda annoying that they just put everyone in their MK2011 costumes for the opening shot. They should be in their MKDA-MKA costumes.

how... many... times... must we repeat that mk9 is a NEW timeline. it is new. new. wonder if it is new. yeap, it is new. new means new. hey, new. there are gonna be changes, boon said this from the very start. this version of the past is different because raiden sent info back through the timeline. any changes, any differences, any alterations can easily be explained by the fact sending info into the past will change the sequence of events. honestly, the story was so messed up by mka that the mk story desperately needed a fresh reboot. the biggest problem mk's story had was when bios and endings become paragraphs of text, most especially in mkd. character bios and endings should be kept brief, like in the early games. keep the info generic or you will end up like the mess that is star wars where there are so many plot holes people do not even care about the story any more.

Waaaait a minute...I'm watching the feed and they have literally replaced Pit I with Pit II, it's actually a location on Shang Tsung's island. I mean, I know they already said that when they released the bio video for it on Youtube, but I thought that was just erroneous promotional material, I didn't think we'd literally see the stage used during the MK1 part of the story mode.

It made sense when it was in Outworld in MK2, but the fucking island? How does that even work with the vast span of volcano, mountains, and castles in the background? How big an island is it supposed to be?
