You can expect Shang Tsung to be in playable without a doubt. Though I wonder what he will play like?

As for MK vs DC.... yeah in my opinion there is nothing at all good about that game. That is like the only MK I'll never buy unless they pull that crap again.

Shang Tsung will most likely be in the game.

As for his morphing ability.... well, I sure hope so.

With the real-time changes to the bodies during the fights, it makes me wonder what they can pull off if they try morphing abilities. They have to have come up with something by now that actually works.

I'd bet my house on Shang being in there and playable.. he's one of the most important parts of MK1-3

The odds of Shang Tsung being playable is REALLy high, tho I don't think he will morph in this game.

Based off what we know already, Shang Tsung is a no-brainer.

Most likely anyone who had anything to do with MK1 & MK2 is virtually a guarantee.

The only person from that category who MIGHT not make it is Kano, but even that likelihood is 0.01 to 100, especially since they already have his MKvsDC model to work with as a template. The Trilogy-roster-minus-bosses theory is the most probable scenario.

I wonder though, if Shang Tsung is in, which form will he look like older mk1-Shaolin Monks or younger mk2-trilogy?

I'm hoping for all 3 looks my self. Main one can be old, or MK2/3, and the other two can be alts.

I am, too, thoroughly sure Shang Tsung will be in MK9. If there will be only classic fighters, and he is one of the most prominent in the class, the conclusion is rather natural...


So much for Quan Chi, though... Though I never liked him as much as I did Shangy, a part of me always wanted him to survive the Armageddon. You know, for a little more green skull-hurling, telestompings, fooling Scorpion, and such... I liked that stuff, after all.

I fully expect Shang Tsung to be in the new MK and as Ed Boon said, the key characters in MK will most likely be in the new game and because Shang Tsung was such a key character in MK 1 - 3 (This is where the time period is for the game) he will be in the game

Shang will be in the game. I have no doubts about that. Kano has to be in this game as well.

I'd love for them to have alternate outfits...and make shangs his MK1 outfit. I realize that would call for a totally different character model, but it would be pretty awesome...also to have him floating across the arena. Make it happen Ed.

Even tho the floating part will just be 100% eye candy and fluff I really want that lol. It would just add a little more feeling when playing when in as him, in the Mk1 outfit.

We've seen Shang Tsung as a background character already in the trailer, so I don't see why he wouldn't be playable in the game. Not only is he a great, fun character, as others have stated, he has an intregal part in the story. I don't see how they could reboot it without him, or Kano. Because Kano is a bad ass.

I think it'd be cool to see Shang transition from younger version to old man version as the fight goes on. It would make sense, as I would guess that the more energy he uses to fight and power his moves, the quicker he'd start to revert to his old form without using the soul steal move to replenish his energy. I think it'd be cool to see. If they can't accomplish the morphs.. they should at least be able to do this much. That way he can be played as both forms.

Tsung should be in there. If he is I hope he's in his old man form. Always wanted to play old man Shang.

I don't see why he wouldnt be able to morph now that they have got Tag Team Kombat.

Shang Tsung will almost definitely be in. I like the idea of his "true form" being revealed as you beat the living crap out of him. Something like that seems right up the ally for this new game, too. Also, if they can do the morphing thing with the technology they have, it will be included. It's so iconically associated with him.

Ed Boon said that if you have a favorite classic character he's ost likely going o be in the game since the whole ame will have this retro thing going on.

Shang Tsung was the first villain in the mk series, so most likely he's going to be in the game.

Did anyone get a look at him in the palace arena? He seems to be a mixture of his MK1 and MKDC versions.

I have yet to get a good screen cap of Shang in the background yet.

what if Shang could only morph into pre-selected people, so the game wouldn't have to load all those different models?

Maybe you could pick one guy off the list to transform into, then you'd have one button combo no matter who you're going to become.

it would be a crime if he didn't get in. i would be up for a young/old transition as the battle goes or alt costumes either work.

i think it would be coo if shangs soul steal move gave u the other players moves insted of life or both life and there moves at least for a short time or sumtin like that.. im sure that could be accomplished and i also agree that the more punishment shang take the older he should become.. shang has always been my fav except in mka.. snake style was lame but crane was devastatingly awsome and stylish.. he was cool in mk vs dc too but he was very anyoing with his "obiki's" every time u did a special move.. OBIKI.. OBIKI.. OBIKI.. OBIKI SHUT THA FUK UP!!! i finaly just went to tha options and turned the voice fx off lol but yea let me know what ya think
