Shang Tsung has one of the best abilities ever! just imagine if he took the soul of professor xavier then used cerebro to consume the souls of all the mutants at once... that would make him by far the most powerful character ever! that is if he survived the transfer of all those souls.. and it would be very hard to get close enough to xavier what with his mind reading.

I hope for old, sorry.
Never had a playable old Shang, would be neat. Alt. would be Young Shang (or other way around). Either way I can see both parties being happy.
Then again I'm baked and am really optimistic!

MK Vs DCU Shang would be cool. Sort of old but not old old.

yeah he's already been confirmed. i heard that randomly if you win in shang;s palace he will come down off his throne and challenge you!!! good stuff!!

To be honest, his old look wouldn't bother me if he does look that old in the game, but his MKvsDC appearance would be awesome with a few changes to make him look a little bit older than that. Like, give him his darn long beard... As long as the beard doesn't magically obtain the same crappy look that Kitana's hair has.

But his very old look from MK1, ehh... I can kinda do without. I mean, given the chance that this this after MK1, he'll be getting his youth restored. So having him as an old measly grandpa wouldn't really make sense. Kahn is in this, and Kahn granted Shang Tsung for a second chance to win the tournament. So basically, he'd be getting his youth restored and look like what he did in MK2.

It wouldn't surprise me if he has his MK2 gimmick. But, since no character is looking that closely towards their first/second/third game appearance, he's probably going to have some new look. Can I please have a cool Shang Tsung costume with a hint of his primary Deadly Alliance look? I really liked that look, made him feel more intimidating and looked very evil since he was partnering up with another sorcerer who's deadlier than he is... To a point.

Well it was off the 2 main pages but its better than another one of these made I guess.

it would be intersting with the changes in the story line if Shang Sung became an ally instead, imagine it being Lui Kang who is evil in this retelling since the whole series of events are going to be all out of wack perhaps certain characters who we know may be in different roles this time grin

I've a preference for the old man form just this once; though I know both will be in.

Lack of morphing sucks, but you know, I'd be fine if they at least gave him a universal command to turn him into whoever you're fighting - memory shouldn't be much of an issue then.

I'm confident that we will see Shang Tsung and Kano in the game. Any Mortal Kombat character who was chosen into MK/DC will make it no doubt. At the least, those characters are considered "iconic", in terms of Ed Boon.
