I'm glad he's cheap as all hell. Even with that being said and maybe it's just me, but he's easier than he was in older games. I really like the armor they gave bosses too...
I still wouldn't mind him being playable, but hey, I'm happy with Kahn's fighting either way.

Shao Kahn is an easy character, even on Expert. All you need to do is know how to provoke him to make certain moves so you can jump over him and combo the fuck out of him.
I alternate between two 29% combos with Mileena and a 38% plus Xray whenever he's attacking and I'm behind him.
Easy picking.

You can EASILY beat Shao Kahn.
You just have to realize you can't use the same strategy you do with any normal fighter.
You have to pay attention to see when he is vulnerable. That means, 75% of your strategy is avoiding his attacks (easier with characters that have teleports).
25% of your strategy has to be your precise timing attacks, and that means 1 to 3 hits only that delivery damage. Don't try and do fancy-shmancy attacks like you do to normal characters.
Be strategic like a boxer. Move in when he is exposed, do 3 hits that deliver a big deal of damage, then GET OUT.
Remember, since your attacks do less damage, expect the fight to take longer. Like I've said twice already... don't expect the fight to be the same as if it were a normal character.

Strategy doesn't work when he can just ignore your hits and smack you, having him be difficult is fine, cheap isn't. If you beat him up without him flashing out your hit it wasn't your skill it was luck that they game didn't decide to do it. Goro and Kintaro are easier than they used to be too but that doesn't mean they aren't cheap, I hit kintaro like 6 times in a row for a second time today and not one of the hits registered because he flashed out of them, that's just BS

Wrong, if you hit him from the front when he is attacking, he's gonna flash yellow and over power you. Whenever he misses with any move, he is vulnerable.
Also, if you're playing with a random char, sure, use their best damage dealing combo from the list. If it's your main, do your best custom made combo, the only way for him to retaliate out of that is by using up his two bars for the breaker.
He's very easy once you get used to all his moves and how you should step to provoke the moves that have a lot of recharge time once performed, which is when you can land as many hits as you can add to a combo. It isn't luck.

As an unplayable BossChar., Shao Kahn doenst need to be nerfed. He s not that though, really. Just keep ur distance when u fight him, but watch out for his projectiles. Shao Kahn can easily be flawlessed, if u fight him right. Scorpions spear and teleport are winners vs him.

And this feature is NOT new to Mortal Kombat.

If they nerf any of the bosses, I am going to be pissed. They are SUPPOSED to be a challenge. They were too easy in the other games. I am so glad they made this game much more challenging all around

The bosses having super armour on some of their attacks is no big deal, Hulk and Sentinel have super armoured moves in MVC3 and they are normal playable characters.

I am glad that The boss of the game is a boss in every sense of the word. Yeah he is over powered and cheap but that is what an MK boss should be. Not a cake walk like Shinnok or Blaze. Also part of the fun in old MK games was to find out the tricks to beating the boss. Also when enough time passes and he becomes a breeze to beat you know you are just a better player. A week ago it took me an hour to beat him on Expert. Now it takes me a minute thirty at the most
