According the Smoke moves list , in leaks :

- Smoke Cloud, Teleport, Shake, Air Thrown

So, based in the video :

- Smoke Cloud : those smokes projectiles that teleport the enemy and next he fall down next to Smoke himself, probably giving a free hit

- Teleport : those 2 types of teleport Smoke did in the video, one defensive and another, ofensive

- Shake : that animation where Smoke concentrate , probably , the same effect of avoiding projectiles as Jade's Special move

- Air Thrown : not showed, but, probably another move Smoke has, more or less like Scorpion.

All we can say it's that Smoke dude is elusive as hell and seems to be pretty good to do a Tag-Team duo with Noob !

I am not editor. I just translated what he said on his blog and Twitter.


He said that when he was asked about regular characters being unlockable. All he said that on the select screen only CSZ and Quan Chi were hidden characters. Then he said that he didn't play game enough so he hadn't time to open everything and he didn't know exactly if bosses are playable or not.
So, stop putting words in my mouth.

Smoke becomes his own character for the first time ever. He's so different, he practically is a totally brand new character, and it's good to see he works quite well.

Now if only we can get some decent Sheeva footage.

Yeah if I'm lucky enough. I'll try to upload some of the story mode cutscenes, fatalities, and the challenge tower reward. But, that's if I'm lucky enough.

The guy's profile on YouTube says he's from Brazil. The Portuguese backs that up (though there are, of course, other countries that use that language).

I agree! Smoke is fucking bad-ass now! SO glad they decided not to automate him.

I am a bit confused on one of his moves.

I see that they gave him a move similar towards Hotaru's ground firebolt, but did his projectile teleport the opponent up and towards him? I'm confused on that move.

Otherwise I say that all this complaining about his hair was silly as I saw absolutely nothing wrong with it during game play. And that he seems like an enjoyable character to play as.

I just want to know what is up with that one move.

He had time to unlock cyber-smoke and Quan Chi but not the bosses? If you're a reviewer, I doubt NRS is going to say "we're going to let you check out the game, but you're going to have to figure how to unlock all the content yourself." That just doesn't add up, dude.

If you guys wanna believe bosses are playable, believe away, but you're grasping at straws.

Count me in the Smoke fan club, he looks fun to play. Also awesome how he has smoke coming off him the entire time, they finally got the effect right!

Smoke haters can now quit their bitchin'. He's definitely gonna be in my top fighters list in Tag-Team.

Despite appearance... Smoke gameplay is awsome!!! Love that they brought back the smokey effect on some of his moves. Can't wait! 9 more days.

It could just be that it's really easy to unlock Quan Chi and Cyber Sub, something simple as just playing certain parts in story mode or beating them in arcade/challenge tower, while unl.ocking the bosses is something much harder like completing Endgame.

I don't think the bosses are playable.. furthermore, I don't really think they should be. It's better that huge boss characters like Goro, Kintaro, and Motaro stay as unplayable boss characters. It's what they were made for and where they belong. Besides, there's a very good roster of characters for this game. Something for everyone... so in the end it's not that big a deal.


As to the thread:

Smoke looks like he'll be very fun to play. I didn't see anything to complain about. I really like the Akuma-like teleport move where he turns into smoke. That's going to be fantastic for projectile evasion. The first time I saw his X-Ray... I thought it was kind of boring. However, after watching several times, it's grown on me. I like it.

Same here... kinda. Smoke could use Judo in MKA, so him doing a suplex isn't that much of a stretch I guess. Just wish it was more character specific, you know? That x-ray could have been given to anybody.

That looked cool but I don't know how so many people are being so "in your face" about his hair, you can't even tell how it looks, they are just a few fuzzy looking characters moving around.
