haha, loving the blatant casting off of my idea about a fall out type game. guessing its not a popular idea haha.

but im getting all the dislike of all the mixing the story line. but i always liked unlocking the endings as a kid so i would be extremely disappointed if i cant do the arcade mode and unlock a different ending for each character. but besides the transportation to my Innocent childhood (if ripping a dude's head off spine still dangling with blood dripping off at the end of a fight in which i kick the living shit out of someone, can be considered innocent haha) i liked the extra thought they put in to give us an if this happened sort of thing.

just had an idea on a cool way to do the story even if it is unlikly.

raidan dose the back in time thingy to make himself (in the past) try and fix the quest. by finding blaze and freeing him or preventing his capture, cant remember if blaze was captured before or after MK1. (not in the mood to do the leg work so if wehn i check this thread it has not been posted i will do the leg work tehn haha)

i think that would be a cool way to take the story then maby the actual tournament will be forgoten and all fighters trry for the quest instead.i for one think it would be cool but if they did this the first MK bit should still be a tournament. at the end of which all find out about blaze and the quest etc. would be good if you ask me :)

It's fine that they used the time travel element as part of the story, as long as they have some sort of explaination as to why they couldn't do it before. Why not when the deadly alliance took over, or when Earth was invaded or even when Kung Lao died and Goro became champion? Why didn't he do it then?

because changing the past can go either way for all raiden knows all their foiling kahns plans could be wiped and kahn could take earth realm much sooner. so why risk all that when you may be able to stop it in the current times. Armageddon was inevitable so he had no choice to mess with the time line.

By saving Blaze in MK2 in the Pit 2 bridge, that will effect MKDA, MKD, and MKA.

For he is tied in some shape or form to those stories.

Johnny cage looks more like a MMA fighter in this game instead of a hollywood movie star. This guy is used as a joke character alot. (Mk 2011 movie he dies in trailer lol, he dies at start in MK2 movie years ago, and his storyline is just cheesy in general) He reminds me od DAN from street fighter.

With that being said. Maybe the reboot has him as an MMA fighter instead of movie star, and he actually wins the tournament lol. MMA fighting is pretty popular on TV in 2010+ so that would be a cool concept.

MK (2011) Storyline

Scorpion kills the youngest Sub-Zero mistaken him for the elder Sub-Zero.

Shunjinko participates in the Mortal Kombat tournament by represents Earthrealm, then is defeated and murdered by Goro. No Onaga's resurrection, Armageddon does not occur. Lui Kang lives and has a chance to redeem Earthrealm loss.


This in returns assures Outworld the 10th consecutive victory for Shao Kahn to rule over all realms, preventing Lui Kang from dying in the future and with Shunjinkos death, the events of Onaga's resurrection will not occur; and Armageddon is pushed back.

Just a thought. :)

BTW scorp got his vengeance in MK1 then actually, contrary to popular belief, has a change of heart when he see's young sub-zero spare a life, and actually devotes his existence to protecting the young sub-zero.... maybe they'll finally show that off a little!

Oh and if you do the research, scorps bios and endings through the 1st few games supports this.

ok now ive read the rest of this thread and I dont think most the people here see how these games work!

They pick ONE end bio and stick with it. been that way since they decided kang won the first tournament. I figure they will just continue using one of the characters stories.... like always!

Why does everyone think they're going back and changing the entire storyline?!?!?!?

Did you play Deadly Alliance and Deception? They dropped the whole "only one ending is canon" thing in those games. Most of the endings aren't even about winning the tournament, they're literally just about what the character did.

When Frost stole the amulet and froze herself in her DA ending? That actually happened.

When Cyrax got the orb for Nitara and she sent him home? Actually happened.

Scorpion getting thrown into the Soulnado by Drahmin and Moloch? Happened.

Reptile being zapped by the egg and turning into the Dragon King? Obviously happened.

Sub-Zero fighting the tarkatan horde off all by himself in Deception? Not only did it happen, it's referenced in Kenshi's bio.

And Deception didn't even have just one winner. A combination of BOTH Shujinko AND Nightwolf's endings are how Onaga was beaten.

So yeah, they don't do the "only the winner counts" thing anymore. Some of the endings, like the ones where the villains win, are still what-ifs, but a lot of them actually tell real story now instead of being "The guy you play as beat Shao Kahn and this happened afterward".

One thing that has been rolling in my mind is that why do people think that Raiden would fix thing in the best way ?

Raiden was enlightened about something BAD that is going to happen . As far as we are told , I don't think that Raiden will realize that thing is Atmageddon , otherwise fixing things will be easy and wouldn't involve much change as the whole Armageddon's plot revolves around Argus , Delia and the sons .

I think that Raiden would just feel that that bad thing is forcing him to strengthen his allies . Saving the Elder -0 for example just for the sake of him potentially being a good ally .

Things can also change randomly because there are things that Raiden will randomly change .

Personally I can't wait for what is Vogel is cocking for us . Always loved and prefered hid style over Tobias . Tobias was great and he is the one that started it all , but Vogel took it to a new deeper level .

Maybe Raiden aborts older Sub-Zero at birth. Since there was "NEVER" a older Sub-Zero then the true Sub-Zero (younger) wears the garb of his brother and leads his clan against Scorpions up until he is summoned to help stop the invasion of Earth Realm.

Raiden uses an electrified coat hanger to get the job done. Any means necessary right?

This has been bugging me for a while now. There is no effin way Boon and Co. are going to make this work. None, zero. Somethings that are likely to change:

-The removal of Noob Saibot and Sub-zero as characters for the original Sub-Zero is stupid. This also ruins Scorpion's story and ruins him from progressing from the revenge crazy character to something interesting. If the classic Sub-Zero lives that means Scorpion will hunt him down throughout the trilogy which sucks. Also, der no Young Sub-Zero = der MK Team fucked up pretty bad.

-Liu Kang must win the first tournament. There is no way this is going to happen again. Liu Kang, in the current canon, is one of the strongest character (if no the strongest) in the entire game. Without this win at MK1, that takes what little character he already has. Raiden will probably win

-How will they make sequels? Will they remake MK4 and DA?

-From the "remake" that MKSM was, I think its safe to assume that almost everything will be completely fucked up and different. Jax kills Reptile in the basement with a gun, I'm calling it here.

-Raiden sent a message back in time. Let me say that again *clears throat* Raiden sent an effin message back in effin TTIIIIMMMEEE! What!? So whenever he's about to die he could just be like, "Nope son! Ima send a message back to myself!" And done. Oh the Deadly Alliance won? Herp de derp, message back in time.

-Seriously, why is Classic Sub in this game!? Why!? There is no point in that! Casual fans can't tell the difference so this isn't for them. Long time fans know young Sub is better so why change it? For the sake of change?

I think that Raiden will attempt to save Elder Sub-Zero from Scorpion but it will be to late. Raiden will then inform Scorpion that it was Quan Chi that killed his clan and not Sub-Zero. Scorpion will then pursure Quan Chi earlier and stop him from obtaining the Amulet therefore preventing Shinnok's invasion.(assuming that Quan Chi is a playable character) This could also be another twist if Shao Khan got his hands on the amulet when Scorpion returns. (A possible Shao Khan and Shinnok double team against Earthrealm)

Raiden would most definetly do something about Shujinko, either killing him or telling him the error of his way's, but probably killing him because I know Shujinko will not be a playable character from the start.

Liu Kang Should win the first tournament but not the second.

Noob could come back to the Lin Kuei and be partially cybernetic.

Maybe Stryker could get captured by the Lin Kuei and be turned into a cyborg seeing as he is one of the least popular characters in the series.

Well Shujinko has fans. So I do think that Raiden will tell him the errors of his ways before he completes his quest.


So A chance encounter with Raiden and Shujinko can happen. As Cyborg issue, I do think it is Jax.

as much as i like noob saibot i only liked him because i knew he was the older subzero. the sub everyone first became a fan of, so if elder subzero lives and noob ceases to exist im ok with that.

though i still like younger subzero too im hoping with his older brother staying alive via raidens help. he still manages to evade being caught by the lin kuei and takes up a new code name because his brother is alive. perhaps tundra since i guess that was supposed to be subzero's first name prior to the games release....thats if wiki is accurate. which its not always

smoke also is able to escape and stay human. and if he doesnt they major up grade his armor cuz his robot costume has sucked the last couple games and his whole see through body was dumb in my opinion cuz he is a regular human. he should be modeled more after the shaloin monks version.

scorpion after being stopped at the last second by raiden from killing sub zero keeps his rivalry with sub but is more focused on killing quan chi.

im hoping liu kang also stills wins mk 1. i feel like thats just something you dont change.

well heres my thoughts and ideas for stories and changing of the characters...(also younger sub zero is my fav)

first of all kill older sub zero i mean noob is cool as hell and makes a great ememy for all of the side of good.. Anyway idk if everybody knows this but the brotherhood of shadow(clan group whatever) which is shinnok followers at first anyway. quan chi is or was a part of thr brotherhood. so i think make sub zero die become noob, scorpion goes after quan chi then quan chi get noob as an ally bc hes corrupted and possessed by an evil god or entiy maybe a demon i think shinnok then quan chi should use his sorccery 2 take full control of him. then youger sub zero comes 2 save his brother with no other choice but ask aid of scorpion and yonger sub zero take sides 2 fight quan chi and noob... then have smoke and sub zero hunted by cyrax and seketor but they escape and sub zero cont.. with saving his brother and defeting quan chi with scorpion while smoke becomes a stronger bigger character and will aid them when he can in minor ways bc hell be busy with saving the Lin Kuei from the robots cyrax and sektor (also change sektor where he say yes 2 the operation he can do as he plz but cant attack or disobey the lin kuei bc of a special programing so sektor has control of cyrax which has no choice at all at anything)smoke with later down the road get help fom frost they then get romantic involved they must then fight the robots and become the lin kuei masters..


another idea for the cyborg ninjas is a predator lookin ninja created by reptile forced by shou kahn bc he worries reptile may find out bout him destroying his world so for full control of reptile he finds out bout the lil lin kuei experiments in exchange shou kahn stays out of there way mutual allys

Going off the Rayden/story subject for a second. U know how in MKvsDC's story mode when u lose a match, u have to keep trying till u win in order to progress? Well for MK2011, I think u should get a different outcome depending on whether u lost or won. This would leave players curious about what would have happened if they won/lost thus giving the story mode more playback. Could that work or would it be too much work putting together? Just an idea.

I have a idea for there too be both sub zeros and noob by having older sub zero live and younger brother gets his own name like tundra, glacier cooler or Freon or something idk but hell be light blue and his moves and figthing style totaly diff also his freezing powers will diff instead of a ice ball like big bro hell have a beam bc older subzero use all water vapors beside him and younger zero will use his powers from his body the ice comes from his body so his ice powers is limited then his brothers and so noob will b an evil undead wraith that will be created by shinnok because he see how powerful older sub zero is so he wants him as an ally but sub zero is good so shinnok with his god powers and undead sorcery too make a clone of sub zero like mileena is for kintana...so noob will be shinnoks right hand man and follower. older sub zero will be after to kill noob and against shinnok for this abomination he calls him.while younger sub zero glacier, tundra or whatever will be trying to save smoke and the lin kuei while scorpion will be after quan chi for the death of his family...

I'm pretty sure in the story you'll play as Kung Lao while the tarkatans are attacking the shaolin temples.

just a thought... how about remaking Mortal Kombat Trilogy with the graphics from the new Mortal Kombat? But only with fatalities. None of the friendships etc... That game had over 30 characters. OR release every single character they ever had into one game. Not the double Sub-Zero characters either. 1 Sub-Zero is enough. 2 fatalities each. No characters need to be unlocked, No story mode no mini games. Just BAM! over 70 characters 2 fatalities, well over 2 dozen levels, pop it in and play. WHO'S WITH ME !?!

What if:
- Raiden deduces that Lui Kang must be kept from winning the tournament to prevent the Armageddon and murders Kang in the face? Total allegiance change!

- Raiden then forces Scorpion to "hug it out" with Sub-Zero and then 'splodes them both with god-lightning for being pussies and because...you know...he's evil now.

- Sonya develops some sort of reversed stockholm syndrome for Kano, joins the Black Dragons, and has a litter of cyber babies. Later, Kano talks her into getting robo boobs so he's not so self-conscious about his eye. Jax is naturally jealous.

- Kung Lao finally realizes that a razor brimmed hat is probably not the best weapon to grab from the Shaolin weapon depot.

- The decimated humans try to thwart SkyNet by sending a re-programmed T-900 back in time to protect John Connor thus ensuring the surv....wait...

the lack of Mokap makes me sad

I say...

- Smoke will be human cuz

- Younger Sub will be captured/killed but no 2 NINJA Sub-Zeros in this game... Maybe even as Cyborg

- Elder Sub-Zero will be alive this time and we will see how his story would went if he would be alive

Raiden has the perfect oppurtunity to change some things and I don't think the story will be simply the same cuz every character will be in
