seriously, with fatalities and everyone killing everyone else since the very first title, why not put whatever kharacters you want in the game? they should all be dead already lol.

The younger Sub-Zero would never actually be... the second Sub-Zero assumed the identity of his older deceased brother to eliminate Shang Tsung who survived the first tournament in MK1 because the original Sub-Zero failed in his assassination attempt... therefore, should the original Sub-Zero be a main feature of the new retelling, Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero II wouldn't feature... nor would any other character related to them in story ie: Smoke (Sub-Zero II's friend), Cyrax and Sektor (sent to kill Sub-Zero II for his failure to kill Shang Tsung in MK2)... etc...

For any of these other characters to have a part in the new retelling, the original Sub-Zero has to die... yes?

on the netherrealm site you can actually read some bio's now. in one they say that the original sub-zero is dead and the second took up the name... it's a little confusing to think about but I think this older sub-zero may replace or coexist with noob. But the younger brother would still refuse to be a cyber i think, so the confussion with the cybers can be cleared up.

It says that the Sub-zero in the Mortal Kombat (2011) is the older one and has been reborn after being killed by Scorpion.

Smoke cyrax and sector were sent after younger subzero because he refused to become a cyborg not because he failed to kill shang tsung.

i believe frost could be the cyber ninja after all she qualifies one lin kuel check and two lin kuel check so like she could as well be the first female cyber ninja

Actually i think Scorpion kills elder Sub Zero, Raiden knowing what he will become warns the younger Sub Zero about this, at this moment the the yonger freezes is brother n realize that the only way to save him from this fate is to cybernize him. The effects of this unknown!! probably when he wakes up n realize hes a cyborg he will grow hatred towards his brother n hunt him down like the others cyborg where doing. Anywayz just saying MK4LIFE!!!!!

I believe what will happen (or hope to happen) is that Raiden will be more strict on the rules of mortal kombat. I noticed after the first two games, the mortal kombat tournament kind of faded into obscurity, and no one actually validating the rules of mortal kombat. With that in mind I believe that Raiden will be more dedicated to enforcing the rules of mortal kombat, thus stopping Shao Kahn's rule in the future.

i hope that because of raiden art lean survives the first tournament and then during shao kahns invasion art joins the bad guys so that he can survive and kahn gives him red shadow powers and johnny cage and art lean will fight each other in a lower floor of kahns tower

Art Lean was only in the movie, he's not actually a part of the Mortal Kombat canon. But it would be cool if there was a reference to him in story mode.

No idea if this has been asked/noted before, but in the CGI bits where we see Raiden and Shao Kahn duking it out... isn't Raiden supposed to be all 'evil' at that point? You know, Dark Raiden? He's wearing his white outfit, so it doesn't look like he's his Dark persona. But if that fight takes place at the end of MKA, Raiden should be Dark Raiden, right? Or am I mistaken?

That clash is not necessarily after Armageddon, it could very well be when the past Raiden confronts Shao Kahn around the MKII area.

i strongly recommend that there are some new warriors in MK9, with oriental backgroud japan or china, 4 is good not DLC. this make MK9 perfect, remember, MK9 is not made only for you old fans, it should attract more people who never played MK before, so please make some new faces, replace the old unpopulared ones such as sindel kabal jade and sheeva. and i am confident in NetherRealm' s imagination that they can make more new cooler warriors. if all 26 warriors is just a remake of MK123, then MK9 is a failure

Where is this confidence coming from? They haven't made an interesting new character since MK4. If they actually thought the series was going well they wouldn't be retelling the original trilogy.

What story ideas can you give the characters?

who ever said raiden was evil? i could have sworn that it was just that he was too good using evil methods to keep earth realm safe. it could be that he sent the message back when he was still bad. but i hope they do explain this to some extent.

My gut is telling me that Other than Raiden sending messages to himself in the past.

I will not trust anything about keeping or changing of canon
