Definitely, this is the greatest MK ever. I'd go as far to say that this is greatest vg of all time, for me anyway.

Damn skippy! I've played all MK's and this has BY FAR the best gameplay and overall feel of any to date. Most MK's would keep my attention for a few months or so whereas MK9 has yet to get boring. I attribute this to the depth and intricacies of play style for each character. In time we'll see if NRS can top this experience but I think it's going to be difficult.

LOL,3D GRAPHICS genius,MKvsDC isnt a 3D fighter either,its a 2d plane where you fight,no MK game is full 3D in gameplay because you dont use the 8 ways on the joystick as in Tekken.

Mkdcvu, mkd, mkda, mka were all three games, and it did use all 8 directions. It was just a really horrible 3d fighter, but it still it was. And in my opinion, this is the best out of any other mk game.

MKvsDC is a 3D fighter. You could sidestep in that game.

I just said the gameplay wasn't 3D, you didn't specify either, genius. MK Vs DC is actually a 3D fighter. Sure, it isn't full 3D, it is played on a 2d plane but you can sidestep and that's considered 3D. Get your facts straight.

Why is there always someone who thinks that when people are talking about 2d or 3d in a fighting game we mean the graphics? No one cares about the graphics.

But anywho's...yes, MK9 is the best and it's not close. And the true 3d MK's were awful.

It's certainly up there for me, along with Mortal Kombat II. This was the most fun I've had playing a Mortal Kombat game in a long time.

IDK what you all are talking about but there was nothing better then Special Forces. i would like to see a remake of that :)...

Best MK ever. By far.

Gameplay wise it's excellent. I never get tired of playing it. But, i'm still kinda upset they changed something things about the MK timeline.

It's not really a competition. MK9 isn't perfect, but it's good enough that I'll be spending a thousand dollars in travel expenses to play it competitively. I can't say that about the other games.

If we're talking about my favorite game of the franchise (as in what that game represents within the MK series), my answer is Deception.
