I think he'd make a decent guest character but i'd rather not have any guest characters but if i had to choose a guest character i'd choose 1 of these 3.

1. Pinhead because he'd fit in the best even more so then any other horror icon. looking at you Freddy.

2. Lord Raptor From Darkstalkers franchise. He fit in rather quite nice. He uses chainsaws, contorts his body and has some bloody moves.

3. Akuma from Street Fighter. It be great if he was a guest because then we'd know for sure the dream crossover would happen Street Fighter V.S Mortal Kombat.

That option would work Lao for pleasing fans that would like guest characters and if fans didn't want to use them they could turn them off. so it could work to appease both sides.

Well that's not entirely true.

Kenshi's blinding happened before MK1. He meant to attend the MK1 tournament as a traveling companion of Shujinko, but since Shujinko was called away and couldn't attend, Kenshi missed the boat too for some reason. (Maybe he couldn't find the pier because...y'know...he can't see, lol.)

And Kenshi is an OIA member when Deadly Alliance starts, so he must have met Sonya and Jax offscreen during either MK3 or MK4 - more likely MK3, since the events of 4 are all set in Hell and Edenia. Kenshi is an Earthrealmer with special powers, why wouldn't he be one of Raiden's chosen ones with a protected soul during Kahn's Invasion? Just because he wasn't on the MK3 roster because the creators hadn't invented him yet doesn't mean he wasn't there fighting somewhere in the background.
And for all we know, MK10 might have a very good place in the plot for Taven or Shujinko. Taven's brother Daegon and the Red Dragon are allies of Shinnok, for example. And MK10 might not be about JUST Shinnok, it might reintroduce the Dragon King and/or his mummy army for some reason to make things a bit different from MK4, or try to combine MK4, DA, and Deception the way MK9 combined 1, 2, and 3...which would lead to Shujinko's reintroduction as well since he's connected to Onaga.

It's more likely that the Xbox version of an MK game would have a KI guest character. Ed tried to get an Xbox exclusive for MK9, to even out the fact that the Sony version had Kratos, and it just didn't work out for whatever reason. Perhaps next time, they will succeed in having a Sony character in the PS4 version of MK10 and an Xbox character on the Xbone version of MK10.

i have the game twisted metal and believe it or not they could make sweet tooth amazing for mortal kombat.. i mean the freedom they can have with him since he dosent have a fighting style because hes always in a car but his cut scenes are brutal even though the never show him actually kill any one. it was all slow moshen and blacked out but it left a trail of blood

As for the whole guest vs no guest debate, that will never be settled, some people will cry shenanigans, some will be open to it. This much we can say...its going to happen. WB has the clout/resources, and Boon and company are excited to crossover whenever they can.

Whatever gets more eyes on mk, says this casual observer...and if somehow this paves the way for a fighting game starring horror movie characters...than that would be just alright.

That's the thing that bugged me most about Freddy in MK9.

I don't mind guests. What I mind is when the guest doesn't come with his own opponent or partner. If the game was gonna have Freddy, it should ALSO have Jason.

Eh...I guess another PS "mascot" would be fair (at least, as fair as it can be to consider characters who aren't all that historically significant yet console mascots...), but doesn't Kratos have a brother or opposite number in one of the more recent GOW games, like Dante and Vergil in DMC?
Though I'm not sure Kratos needs a counterpart like Freddy does because he already has natural enemies on the MK roster as a guy from ancient history who fights gods (particularly in that according to MK canon, Raiden is Zeus...). Like, I wouldn't think MK9 needed Jason if MK had a promiscuous suburban teenager on the roster for Freddy to fight, lol

True. he does have a brother named Deimos(ghost of Sparta). I was just looking for someone else that wasn't another GOW character.

We were gonna get a Gears character for Xbox last I heard. Marcus Fenix most likely, but Microsoft said lel nope and threw that idea out the window. Epic was on board with it too. Oh well.

He'd have probably been a zoner. Wonder what his stage would've been? Microsoft was pretty stupid for not allowing him to be in if you ask me. There was literally no drawbacks to having him in. It would've only brought Marcus more attention. Such a missed opportunity.

For some reason, david jaffe likes god of war more than twisted metal which is why kratos was in the game and not sweet tooth

Now that his favorite has already been used as a guest character in MK maybe we are more likely to see Sweet Tooth used as a guest character in MKX.

I would have much rather have Sweet Tooth than Kratos. Sweet Tooth is far more interesting.

I don't care who they are as long as both systems get one.
