The only other purple clad woman worth of mentioning is Sindel.
Period.
I don't want to see Rain anywhere near any throne...not just yet.
Mileena has the great opportunity to step in and prove to us that (despite being an evil crazy bitch) she actually is top leadership material and a very smart one in that matter (points at MKD and MKA). I want to see her shine in this area, alone.
I wouldn't be opposed to these 2 forming an alliance simply based on interest and convenience in which one of the two will end up loosing, but, maybe not yet.
I don't want something as predictable as Rain betraying Mileena for the throne. Spice and twist them up!

Because Boon is a brainless, boobie-loving sphinx that loves simple stories that don't go against his macho-male self.
They should hire more gay and female people at their studio's they do a much better job at this.

Being gay or female does not automatically mean they will do a better job. Sexuality or gender has nothing to do with intelligence or creativity. Yes, women and gay men tend to be more creative, but I know lots of straight men who are very creative and quite intelligent as well. And I also know some very stupid women and gay men who can't draw a line on a piece of paper even if it meant their life.
Why are you being so judgemental? Every post you make reeks of it, and it's sickening!

You're really not helping with that post. XD
As I said, yes, the majority of women and gay men are quite more creative than the straigh male population, but that doesn't mean that none of the men at the MK team aren't creative at all. They made Jade, after all.

Look at the end credits and watch more interviews. Several female employees have been heavily involved in the creation of this game. The lead casting director for the characters was female (and tragically died in an accident).
And I could also say "look at the all those shirtless beefcakes like Johnny, Jax, and Liu Kang..."
Accept it or not, but the MK team is quite diverse, with a mix of various races, genders, religions, sexual identities, creeds, and backgrounds, all of which they subverted to come together and work on one vision for one game. And that's amazing.
It was not a homogenized robot farm under the tyrannical rule of all-knowing Boon.

Well I love MK but we have to be objective. It isn't the most diverse game...truth is, most fighting games have diversity when it comes to genders, races, backgrounds, sexual identities etc.
Take a look at this
It's amazing what different kinds of characters ppl have come up with in fighting games! However MK lacks diversity when it comes to women tbh. That's the point here...yes we've encountered all kinds of male characters (Ninjas, Sorcerers, Oni, Swordsmen, Monks, Gods, Demons) with awesome designs and movesets but most females we've had were one note...and even if the idea of a certain female character would appear nice on paper, most of them were lost in translation.
For example, the idea of a female vampire like Nitara was great but the execution was crap and we ended up with another tramp looking MK girl! Sareena has an amazing background but she was never developed any more than being another female with a skimpy outfit throwing knives. KNIVES! She is half-freagin-demon! She could have amazing powers and yet she ends up with a generic look and moveset.
You get the point...females in MK have never lived up to their true potential :/

That's an unfair assumption.
Most of the males never lived up to their true potential either, and most of the cast comes from all the candy-colored ninja pallet swaps of ages past. You could say "Scorpion is a friggin' ghost ninja spectre from hell!'... that uses swords and an harpoon for many of his attacks (including one fatality).
I think MK has a surprisingly diverse cast of characters, considering. Even the females have a lot of diversity (a princess assassin, an undead queen, a military soldier, a four-armed half-dragon amazon, a good-hearted demon, a disfigured and flawed clone, a blood-borne berserker, a winged vampire, etc.) with many different backgrounds, ethnicity, powers, looks, and ambitions.
There's not a fighting game out there with a female character comparable to Sheeva or Sindel, just as no other fighting game has a character quite like Raiden or Baraka. MK may not be as diverse as, say, Smash Bros, but it's comparable to Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur, and any other game out there, for both male and female represented characters.
In fact, I'd say, between its cast of gods, demons, robots, ninjas, mutants, ghosts, monks, shamans, wizards, and dragons, MK has one of the most diverse and creative rosters imaginable.

Mileena is my favorite female character but the idea of her ruling Outworld is outlandish especially given her current persona. In the previous timeline we got a taste of her ruling in Deception but it was fitting because back then she had a longer history with Kitana and a desire to be her (not to mention greater mental maturation). Her Deception storyline presented a tragic victory for her in that she finally got to be the person she always wanted to be but through illegitimate means, leading everyone to believe that she was Kitana. Given her current state she hardly seems competent enough to take care of her self much less rule Outworld, also Shao Kahn may be out of the way but what of the other villains that survived? Would they just accept her? I think many have put way too much stock in that scene in story mode where Kahn's minions thought he was dead and Mileena was recommended as the new ruler. Lets keep in mind who made the suggestion...Baraka, hardly an unbiased source after all if Mileena was made ruler and chose a king to rule alongside her guess who it would be?
Rain is different, given what we have learned about him since MKA he definitely has options and can play a bigger role and unlike Mileena apparently has the right mental framework by which to conduct any schemes he may come up with.

I 100% agree. Mileena has the mentality of a little kid(like I said in my previous posts) and might not be competent enough to rule Outworld.
Rain has at least a couple thousand years of combat experience and is probably a great tactician(Guessing he is) and has great leadership

Well said.
I really can't see the current Mileena ruling anything and it not being laughable.
Ignoring the fact that some people obviously don't pay attention to who's in the developing team of Netherrealm studios, I must say that I would like Mileena to have a much larger role in this next game.
I don't care what kind of a mind she has that some people describe it, the kind of character that she was back in Deception was by far one of the greatest. She had the hype, and the potential to become a great character... Then they turned her around to where she's got one of the smallest roles in story mode and I wished they expanded her on that.
With the amount of hype and publicity that she got during pre-production, it's saddens me that she was hardly anything in this game!
And, awaiting to see what kind of character Rain is, and if my question answers to a "yes" should all of the DLC characters featured in this game (that aren't guest characters) make a return in the main roster for the next game, I don't mind exactly what they do with Rain.
Just give Mileena a bigger role next time, since she's not dead.

I think Rain would be better teaming up with Tanya, rather than Mileena. I think Rain and Tanya would make a great villainous couple, like the Bonnie and Clyde of MK.

Look at the end credits and watch more interviews. Several female employees have been heavily involved in the creation of this game. The lead casting director for the characters was female (and tragically died in an accident).
And I could also say "look at the all those shirtless beefcakes like Johnny, Jax, and Liu Kang..."
Accept it or not, but the MK team is quite diverse, with a mix of various races, genders, religions, sexual identities, creeds, and backgrounds, all of which they subverted to come tojavascript:addOriginal()gether and work on one vision for one game.

I agree but I was talking "design" wise. Yes there are gods, demons. robots etc. but when you look at the girls, most of them (if not all) have the same kind of skimpy outfit. That's the point, that the team lacks imagination and creativity when designing outfits for the females...i mean if a person that wasn't familiar with MK saw Sareena, Nitara, Kira and Mileena, the next day he would think it was the same person. Same skimpy outfit with a bra and a loincloth, different colour (for Jade or Kitana or Tanya), maybe different hair, add some wings (for Nitara), add a bandana (for Li Mei) and there you have it...that was my point
