I think this may be a preview for rival intros for fights. Ya Bi-Han doesn't care about proving his innocence so I doubt it. Scorpion always fights Sub Zero he doesn't care who or what it is under the mask. Either it is bi-han resurrected or someone who took his mantle, both deserve death in scorpions book.

"Oh it's just the brother of my familys killer. He's wearing the same Lin Kuei outfit as him. I'm sure he's a good guy". Scoprion isn't going to investigate his innocence lol. He's a specter completely driven by vengeance. He's essentially a pissed off child that can't be reasoned with civilly. That's why I love him lol. They should never team up, Scorpion should never forgive Kuai Lang. (Not anytime soon in this rebooted cannon at least)

The intro should be like...

Scorpion: YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES!!!

Not to bump this thread but this was a major point of contention for me for a while. I've reconciled it as such, this is the same "universe" as MK9 but this is a totally new Sub-Zero. Think about it, there's nothing to say that Kuai Liang and Bi Han's father stopped at 2 sons when he returned to the ranks of the Lin Kuei and there's never been any mention of whether or not Bi Han, Kuai Liang, or both sired children. As I understand it, this game takes place over a span of decades which gives any children time to age up. Let's also not rule out the fact that this may be a relative of Frost. Her existence proves that other Cryomancers survived through the years. Even if Bi Han and Kuai Liang's lineage ended, those powers were no doubt useful. If the Lin Kuei were to happen upon Frost and her family, I'm sure that they'd recruit them into the ranks even if they weren't related to the original Sub-Zero lineage.
