And as far as Bo Rai Cho goes, I agree with OP that he is a pretty bad choice in terms of popularity to get people to keep playing the game. Good news tho for people who find the same old fart and puke stuff funny after seeing it hundreds and hundreds of times over again.

Oh, i'm fucking happy about it, and seeing the whiny people complaining about him not getting in, but this KP2 is straight up garbage regardless.

Anyways, I think you kinda answered your own question OP. I think the guest characters drive most of the sales so they can "afford" to put in less popular characters like Tanya or Bo in those packs for the fans. That's actually a good thing.

Bo isn't the fat slob he once was, seems more serious now. If they left the farting out, I'd be fine with it. However, the puking can stay.....because that is what people do in real life when they consume too much alcohol.

Newsflash: that is artistic integrity. Ultimately the product is the property of NRS and Warner. Yes, it is sometimes mandated by populist marketing choices, but it is still theirs. There is one recourse you have: do not buy it.

Bo Rai Cho - playable in 3 games: MKDA, MKD, MKA.

Fujin - playable in 2 games: MK4 and MKA (arguably, the worst games in the series).

So, for me (and, apparently, the MK team) Bo was the obvious choice. Unlike Fujin, he has something NEW to offer in terms of diversity - design- and gameplay-wise. BO is the only rotund character and has unique fighting styles. Unlike Fujin, who's pretty much useless with his generic look and with his specials already distributed among Kung Lao, Kitana, and some other characters.

Bo Rai Cho will play a major role in the new webseries. It's another argument for his inclusion in the game.

And stop acting as if the Drunken Master has no fans. He's my favorite fighter from the 3D era games.

If someone's mad for Fujin not making the cut, blame WB and freaking Leatherface. An MK character cannot "steal the spot" of another MK character. Every character has his/her fans. Well, Leatherface is another type of beast. Vote with your wallets.

Personally, I'm gonna buy the whole pack, if it comes to PC/Steam. I hated the idea of guests in MK, but I'm happy with Jason and Predator. It's strange even for me, but for some reason (maybe FUN), I use the guests more often than Tanya. Use your imagination. For me, Jason is not Jason from the movies, but an executioner in Kotal Kahn's court.

Sometimes us fans truly over complicate things.

First off we have no info on how Tanya or Tremor sold but NO ONE should 've expected them to sell more than Jason Voorhees and Predator- I doubt any character(other than perhaps Scorpion or Subby) would've stood a chance against those two and NRS already knew that before the pack was ever released so I don't see them going "Oh my! Jason and Predator outsold Tanya and Tremor! What surprise!". That said, I'm sure both still made a pretty penny considering Tanya was demanded by fans since MK9 DLC and Tremor managed to catch a lot of casual players attention with his badass look and gameplay.

As for Bo Rai Cho being chosen in pack 2- its a simple case of NRS having a soft spot for the guy. NRS has always been upfront about their fondness for him and MKX is probably a great opportunity to bring him back to the ring as he will most definietly bring some diversity to the game. But I HATE who he's being released with. I always imagined him being released alongside Fujin or Li Mei or other 3D era characters getting their second chances- but he's being released with Alien, Triborg and Leatherface and his standing ground feels awfully lower than theirs. Unlike Tanya and Tremor who both at least had some high fan demand to help them stand toe to toe with Jason and Pred- Bo doesn't even have that. I much would've rathered they kept him for the default roster of MK11 instead of shoving him in this crappy pack and possibly sealing his fate for another decade.

And lay off Fujin. It irritates me whenever there's a demand for a certain character you get people who want to bash and hate on said character just to piss off those demanding him/her. Fujin would have been a better choice for this pack simply because of the sheer high demand he's had since the announcement of this game or even dating back to MK9 DLC or even Deception. This isn't a dig at Bo as I'm happy he's back too.

But lets stop with the Bo Rai Cho VS Fujin stuff. Both have it hard enough for being 3D era characters.
