Yup, she definitely seems like the leader of the MK Scooby Doo gang. I'm actually totally alright with it since she is my favorite new character so far. I like snarky, sarcastic characters and it seems like she's competent to boot. Within the context of MKX I think she's a good choice personally.

But I kind of have a feeling that this trailer showed us what the new characters are up to and left the old ones out.

I remember a guy pointed out a while back that this trailer showed a lot of NEW because all we have been seeing up till now is OLD.

So I do see where you are coming from but I think Liu Kang is going to be back and he will retain his place as the protagonist, However I also believe that Cassie is going to be one step below Liu Kang because she seems to be doing a lot of the work in MKX, from what we saw in the trailer.

The sad part is this is Cassie's first game and she already has more personality than Liu.

I am actually not so sure about Cassie being new protagonist. Of course from the trailer we might get that impression,but I think Takeda is destined to take down new generation bad guys. Not because Cassie is incapable,she is the leader and coordinator of the group,but I think son of Kenshi and student of Scorpion is destined to do something big on MK main plotline stage,which both his father figures never seemed to be able to accomplish.

I am actually wondering if there is going to be some romantic relationship between our new generation guys. (Fuck everyone who says romance can't be a part of MK,it gives motivation and extra dimension to characters,ask Johnny and Sonya in this game)

Ha! This! When I first saw her in the comics, I was thinking "Wow... she hasn't dialed back the slutty level this much since MK2/MK3!" Even then she showed a lot of leg As for Cassie leading the way, why not? I initially figured Raiden would more or less be the protagonist again, as it was pretty much his story in MK9. But the way the story trailer was set up really puts a strong emphasis on her. Guess we'll find out next month. Holy crap, it *is* March now, isn't it?

I honestly can say that I 100% back Cassie going forward as one of the franchises heroes. If Jacqui, Takeda and Kung Jin step up the plate as much as she has, I'm all fucking for it. They can then just revolve the klassics in and out now and again as "wise masters" and all that other jazz and keep giving us good new characters like these.

i think Cassie is the new leader of the group, but I don't think she's the strongest and will be the next Liu Kang in terms of fighting. Leader isn't always the best, they are just the best at leading.

There better be a damn battle between the Kahn's in MK11 and I want Kotal to paddle his ass right back into the grave.

Liu's going to end up protector of Earthrealm and be their mentor at the end/future games.

I'm liking Cassie a lot after the trailer. I think she'll play a major role. Liu Kang hasn't really been the protagonist since MK4, that was left up to Shujinko, Taven, and Raiden in recent games. I do think Raiden will have less of a role in this game though. I'm thinking Cassie will have a bigger role than him.

I don't think Liu Kang will come back as the main protagonist, but I do think he'll come back in some form. I'm still a little worried that he'll be the big bad which would really upset me, but I'm trying to remain optimistic.

It would be cool if her alt had that hairstyle.

i think those were just cassie's story mode chapters mainly in the trailer. Boons for twitter hint was a cage and then the next hint was the story.

Idk Cassie might turn out to be a better fighter than some people think. Somebody here said that Boon stated Sindel to be one of the most powerful females in the series, and we saw (What appeared to be) Cassie fighting evenly with her, not to mention im sure she has received training from both of her parents, and she seems to spar with Jacqui too, I wouldn't underestimate her.

She seems to be leading the group but my moneys on Takeda. Like someone mentioned, son of Kenshi, student of Scorpion. Cassie is only going to appear in the final arc where as Takeda will be kid in the earlier arcs. Were going to essentially see this guy grow up. I wouldn't be surprised if they write it so Takeda reminds Scorpion of his own son. It just seems he has a bit more going on than Cassie.

Kind of unrelated but have we heard Takeda talk? Not feeling Cassie's VA, hoping his is better.
