It's never too late. I'm waiting for this game, because I love Bo and the cyborgs, the Pit and the stage finishers. With the updated netcode I may even try online again.

This is awesome! If it brings back a few die hards like this, and makes them happy, this is definitely worth it.

MKXL PC should be free considering us PC gamers already paid for our "season passes" for all DLC.

No. It absolutely should NOT be free.

You already received everything that comes in the season pass if you paid for it. MKXL content is entirely separate and is part of "Kombat Pack 2". There is nothing you did or did not receive that didn't also come as part of the initial release of MKX on consoles with the first Kombat Pack, except MAYBE a costume or two, I don't know. But saying the XL upgrade should be free is nonsense...if it wasn't free for console players, it shouldn't be free for PC players.

Look, I get it. PC gamers are mad. It sucks that it did not continue to get support. But seriously, shit happens. Life is a mother fucker and it's going to be full of disappointments and tragedies that are much, much worse than having to wait a few months more than console players for an upgrade to MKX. If this event was so traumatic, just wait 'til reality hits. The PC release was botched because High Voltage sucks. WB and NRS know this. They acknowledged it. They care enough about the fan base to say "You know what? That's unacceptable. They'll have to wait longer but we WILL get them MKXL." Despite the PC market historically being the least profitable for the MK series and fighting games in general, they cared enough in the first place to port it over, and now after the port failed, to find a way to repair the damage.

I love PC gaming. It's been my preferred platform for many years, but when it comes to MK i'm going console over PC in a heartbeat. I was saddened for my fellow PC Gamers but I'm glad to see NRS owning up. However, the sense of entitlement is legendary in the worst possible way. So again, no. PC Gamers had to wait a long ass time in the dark with very little in the way of answers, other than the acknowledgement that the conversion was botched. In the end, that no way entitles them to a free MKXL upgrade or exclusive content. Sorry, but alienating one part of the fan base to appease the other is not the answer and never has been, especially when the portion of the fan base that would be getting this is so marginal and niche. PC players must pay like everyone else...frankly I don't care how long they had to wait or how frustrating it was.

There's maybe ONE PC player for every 1000 console players. PC portion of the fan base is negligible yet is still getting the MKXL update. Consider it a very lucky turn of events.

Most likely a discount. No way should WB/NRS expect PC players to pay full price again. They signed off on a shitty version of X [after Boon saying it would be just like the console versions] the quickly abandoned it. Now they want to release a new version now that its near the end of its life cycle. Charging PC gamers full price would reek of reaching for one last cash grab on the game before its officially put to rest.

Maybe. Good will is good will, though. If they want to regain the trust of the PC master race, actions speak louder than this...

So... I should expect PC versions to always be the last platform to get content... and months too late? How is that an incentive?

I never said that. You insinuated it was too late, I mostly agreed, while commending NRS for making an attempt to mend the trust between the PC consumer and themselves. But I never said PC getting the updates/content this late was a fair or even remotely intelligent tactic.

You should absolutely expect better from NRS/WB.

What really grates on me is the fact that people demand something be fixed (i.e. netcode) and when they finally get it in working order the response is "meh I'm not even playing this game anymore 'cause *insert flavour of the month* is out." If you weren't going to play the game, even after the DLC cycle is finished, don't demand something gets fixed like a spoilt brat.

Happy for the PC peeps. NRS went out of their way to make good on something that they really could have washed their hands of.

I am happy for PC players. I know a few people that will get back into the game because of this.

But I'm just way excited for the overall changes and balancing. Mileena has become a bittersweet character since her QOL buffs. Love her in this game, but my god playing Bo vs Mileena is the most frustrating MU I've ever dealt with in this game to date.

Hopefully they implement some rock solid universal gameplay changes as well. Nerf Lao, Liu, Reptile and D'Vorah plus frames, but keep EX Kunai +32? There needs to be some sort of template that will keep everyone's advantage within reason. They remove a certain character's overpowered move or set-up, but let a similar setup pass for another character.

And please NRS, patch Cyber Sub back into the game. We miss him.

On a final note, I'm insanely curious as to whom the selling point of KP3 will be (if KP3 is still in the cards). The game is well over a year old now and they're going to need more than obscure characters that haven't been seen in 10+ years. Regardless of how much us diehards would love to see KP3 comprised of 3D era characters and the missing Trilogy characters, I still think WB, and to a certain extent NRS, will decide to include that extra incentive to lure casuals back in.

Still no X360/PS3 versions. Count yourself lucky you're getting even this.

Lol it was a hyperbole. The most recent patch that mainly focused on balancing KP2 hit Triborg with nerfs all around but CSZ specifically took a hard beating.
