Ok this is my idea for MK7. For disk 1 they should put you know new charcters & old charcters. Then for disk 2 they should put old classic charcters like Rain,Fugin, and Motaro (but hes fair this time!) Then put all those charcters in 3-D! Does anyone like that idea?

On the next Gen systems, they could easily fit both games in to 1 disk.
At least for the PS3 that uses the Blue Ray disk.

if they did do a 2 disk thing i would like the next gen mortal kombat on one disk with all returnin characters as well as new ones with fantastic gameplay and character desings no extras!
And on the 2nd Disk a 2D classic version of the game with loads of extras on this disk! so we can see the full aspect of the kombat game on the 1st disk! not cramming it up with a crappy krypt n stuff! that can all go on th 2nd disk as theye will be loads of room as its a 2d version!
Thats just my thoughts on it!

Assuming they did require the whole disk to put the game on, they could put bonus videos and stuff on another disc. Don't this is too likely though.
The idea is doubtful because 2 disc games are usually games that are that long in play time that they have to be on 2 discs. For the next MK game, since it will be fighting based, they would only need to use one disc for the game anyway. To split a fighting game like that into 2 discs would sort of make it two different games.

If you want something like that, than maybe Midway should do for MK7 like the did for MKD and make a special kollectors edition for the next-gen machines.

what if they made liek a 3d version on the 1st disc and then made a 2d version on the second like the exact same game except the second disc would be a supped up version of mk2 like better graphics but not amazing graphics just to satisfy old fans and to give it a classic feel
