I see this new Mortal Kombat like a bowl of cereal. The bowl is Mortal Kombat itself. The cereal is your old characters. Your milk is your new ones. They all come together for a nice treat. I welcome old just as much as I welcome new. I do tend to put more milk in my cereal so I kinda do want to see more new characters. But ya know, there are some good candidates from MK4-MKD that could be in. Time will only tell people.

I like the two new characters, were getting characters of different sizes, assuming the big guy with the midget isn't a sub-boss. They certainly give a better impression than the bulk of the new characters from MKDA-toMKA.

the new characters are awesome, really glad they didn't play it safe with non-stand out characters, new characters bought in to the 10th game need to be unique and make a strong impression! the bug lady is amazing and pretty dark, the midget looks like it could be annoying lol but it's an excellent first for an MK character, the guy with blue skin is looking badass! want to know their official names!

this is just amazing! it's my 2nd new favourite MK game after MK9, the wait is going to be tough as I want this so bad already!

Actually, if we take a closer look they actually showed 20 new characters.

I like the new characters, personally. They look like something from a darker X-Men story, and that's good. They went with some very risky, original designs instead of relying on the old Jarek/Hotaru/Li Mei machine. The duo of characters in specific feels extremely fresh, but in my opinion fits right in. I think that little dude is creepy as hell, very horror movie-esque to have a "child" as such as murderous masochist.

Wow! What an excellent Birthday present for me! Totally blown away by that trailer, Netherrealm has changed shit up! Intrigued by the new characters and Subby and Scorps look great. I'm in the camp which thinks the 3rd "new" character could be Shinnok. I keep going back to Boons tweet saying we'll see 2 new characters.
Anyway, I'm going to bed until 2015.

I honestly wouldn't be any less interested in Bug Lady if her official name actually was Bug Lady. She's so "meh" to me right now it wouldn't even matter. In fact I would like for her name to be Bug Lady. Nothing fancy, straight to the point. Bug Lady.

She's the only one that I think I'd play with. But I'm more interested in Biggie Smalls and how they fit into the MK world.

I have to admit...for a debut trailer this is kinda unimpressive. I mean, some of the graphics and stuff look cool but so far I have to say this has to be the least excited I've ever been about an MK game after seeing this trailer. hopefully that changes as more stuff gets released. surely I can't be the only one that feels this way.

Bug Lady rocks my socks, she makes me think of Sadira from the new Killer Instinct. Midget/Brute, still not a fan, but I'll be interested to see more footage.

That sea stage is amazing. Absolutely love it.

Hating the overt stage interactions - it's just another silly gimmick. The gameplay style is reminding me too much of Injustice.

Fatalities look sick, and glad they kept X-ray moves.

Not blown away, but definitely keen to see more.

Couple of thoughts:

- Sub-Zero has frozen arms!!! About damn time again! Also the phrase where he says "OUR innocense" , I think people just forget that in MK4 Scorpion was hunting down Kuai Liang because Quan Chi lied how he was responsible in massacre of Scorpion's clan too. "Our" here for me means like "My,my brother's and/or my clan's innocense". But then I remember possibility of multiple universes, and everything is out of the window. Sub-Zero, though, looks like undead to me,but more like "Kuai Liang being in Quan Chi's ranks" rather than "Bi-Han fused with Noob Saibot". We haven't seen any shadow moves for Sub-Zero so I think this theory is incorrect. I sure as hell hope so...

- The forest arena actually for some reason reminds me of that stage in promo MK4 video where we see shadows running, see creepy Shinnok, Scorpion and Reptile. And it wasn't Living Forest. Maybe somewhere on Earth? Judging by how there was an abandoned entrance to some kind of temple and how there are dead bodies after some kind of fight, it is more logical to assume this event happening on Earth and maybe Shaolin or Lin Kuei warriors are the ones who are dead? The more I think about it, the more I imagine the scene of Sektor's programming going nuts and him attacking Lin Kuei. And that chilly weather in the forest... I dunno,screams Lin Kuei to me.

- I am willing to bet that the big guy and his little companion are members of Brotherhood of Shadows. I mean, they sure as fuck don't look like from Earth. And second, I think I saw a tatoo of Brotherhood on the back of big guy on the fragments. Can't confirm. Anyone esle caught that? And this tag team has kinda uniform of dark and red on them. I remember in Skarlet's MK9 ending some of these goons she killed has exact colors for their clothes... Am I reaching?

- The lady bug is not Tanya IMHO because she is completely different from her appearance wise and character gameplay wise. I think she is an Earthrealm hero,because there is not enough heroes left alive and her Raven inspiration doesn't scream villain to me... I dunno,my 2 cents.

This trailer got me pretty excited. I love the new characters. The duo scream potential story. Lady bug just barely makes me think of nitara and drahmin. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I think blue ogre is khaosrealms protector. Even better if he's an elder god. Speculation is fun isn't it kids?

I'd appreciate it if the ogre duo was from chaos realm, seems fitting!

I enjoyed the trailer more than I thought I would. I won't dismiss the new characters yet. If it was a new ninja half would rage and half would fall in love. I will say so far that the bug lady looks kind of repetitive but we'll see. The fatalities look miles ahead of MK 9's fatalities. Although I liked the fatalities from MK 9, I felt the majority of them lacked any real depth or creativity. I love how the gameplay is stiff but fast also. The graphics look beautiful of course. One more thing was Scorpion every able to throw fire? I mean I know he summons it from the ground in other games. And he can perform toasty. But I don't EVER remember him just throwing out fire like a projectile. But I love that. Sub-Zero has frozen arms again? Great choice. I think that big blue new character resembles the guy from Tekken except a blue color scheme. Not saying it's him just looks like him. Obviously an Aztec type warrior or as pointed out in a few pages back he could be one of the Elder Gods? Overall the big new character looks badass in my opinion. Let's not dismiss new characters just yet. And also to the person in here who said there has never been another good character after John Tobias left, ummm, Kenshi? Umm Skarlet?

Anyone else notice the background elements get a glowing outline when they can be used? I noticed a few things glow like the stumps and logs but don't get used in the fight.
